Colorado opens as a 34.0-point underdog to No. 8 USC. Thoughts?
- Is it still November? Can't we just fast forward through the next three weeks (except for CU basketball, of course), and get to the naming of the new CU head coach? (49%, 113 Votes)
- Yeah, whatever. The Buffs were 31.5-point underdogs to Oregon. I guess USC gets another three points for being at home. As usual, take CU's opponent, give the points, and collect on Saturday (37%, 85 Votes)
- It's a short week, and USC will definitely be looking past the Buffs, getting ready for their game against UCLA the following week. No chance CU wins, but the Buffs have a shot at a back door cover (14%, 31 Votes)

No. 8 Oregon 49, Colorado 10. Thoughts?
- I hope Rick George and Phil DiStefano noted Christian Gonzalez had two picks which turned the game into a rout. Without changes, Jordyn Tyson will also be playing against the Buffs next fall (59%, 168 Votes)
- Just about how everyone figured. It was a 31-point spread, and the Ducks were in control throughout, with 14 points in the first, second, and third quarters. Another day, another rout for the Buffs (26%, 75 Votes)
- The Buffs actually showed some fight on both sides of the ball. You can't overcome three turnovers, a missed field goal, and turn it over on downs three times and expect to be competitive (15%, 43 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado v. Oregon (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, ESPN)
- Oh-Mi-God. The No. 3 offense in the nation against the No. 3 (from the bottom) defense (No. 128 overall). Oregon won 70-14 in 2012 ... sounds about right (54%, 99 Votes)
- Let's see how the Buffs react to being down early. Do they continue to fight? Or do they fold their tents, letting us know that November will just be a series of embarrassments? (29%, 52 Votes)
- I can see a back door cover here. The line is 31.5, and the Ducks may have that edge by halftime. I can see Oregon resting its starters (Washington next week), with CU scoring late to cover (17%, 31 Votes)

Which of following Pac-12 games this weekend for you holds the most interest?
- No. 23 Oregon State at Washington (Friday). Pretty much the battle for second-tier supremacy. Winner gets a much better bowl - and is still alive in the Pac-12 race (63%, 82 Votes)
- Arizona at Utah. The Wildcats have shown signs of improvement, giving USC a game last weekend, while Utah inexplicably didn't play Cam Rising last week against Washington State (20%, 26 Votes)
- UCLA at Arizona State. The Bruins were brought back to reality by Oregon, but still can win the Pac-12 if they don't stumble in games they are supposed to win - like this one (17%, 22 Votes)
- Washington State (4-4) at Stanford (3-5). The Cougars are 1-4 in Pac-12 play; the Cardinal 1-5, but because of easier non-conference schedules, both can still qualify for a bowl game (0%, 1 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from a three-star cornerback from California, Jordan Shaw. Thoughts?
- I'm just impressed that Mr. Shaw is actually committing to a school and not a coach. Talented, and with his head on straight. Another 84 players like that, and CU will have an impressive program (53%, 102 Votes)
- With his commitment, Shaw instantly becomes the highest-rated member of the CU Recruiting Class of '23 (still 16 strong). Well done (interim) coaches! Welcome, Mr. Shaw! (24%, 47 Votes)
- It's certainly a good get, but there is still plenty of water to go under the bridge between now and Signing Day. We'll see if he likes the new coaching staff - and if they like him. Fingers crossed (23%, 43 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
