CU adds three new recruits to the Recruiting Class of 2027, bringing CU's total to 17. Thoughts?
  • Glad to see Coach Prime and his staff emphasizing the lines. CU has been getting killed in the trenches the past few years, so having nine of 17 recruits be linemen is refreshing (55%, 51 Votes)
  • This is getting fun. Glad to see CU in the Top 40 in the nation in high school recruiting, and in the Top five of the Big 12. Small steps back to having a normal roster again (35%, 32 Votes)
  • Nice to see CU's body count going up, but are the Buffs adding quality? Two of the last seven commitments came from players who aren't even rated by the services. Quality, coaches, not quantity (10%, 9 Votes)

If you were the Big 12, who would you deal with the Brendan Sorsby situation?
  • I would suspend Sorsby for the season. The Big 12 wasn't a party to the NCAA lawsuit, and has separate by-laws to govern dealing with players. This is a no-brainer. Stand up to the madness! (78%, 144 Votes)
  • I would take it to Texas Tech directly. If boycotting games sounds impractical, the Big 12 could withhold funds or prohibit Tech from playing in the title game. Hit Tech in the pocketbook! (15%, 27 Votes)
  • I would do nothing. Texas Tech and Sorsby have made themselves into the villains of college football. See how well that works in the next round of realignment. Win the battle, Tech, and lose the war! (7%, 14 Votes)

Rate your level of interest in the Sorsby/Big 12 saga?
  • High. This just in: the integrity of the game is at stake. Every single sports league in the world bans players who bet on their sport. Every ... Single ... League. I can't believe this is happening (62%, 68 Votes)
  • Medium. This issue is going to drag on for awhile. The net result will be that Sorsby won't play. Brett Yormark and the Big 12 will have to take the lead, but there can be no other result (27%, 30 Votes)
  • Low. It's June, so I do not have college football on my radar. I don't need to watch the sausage being made, I just need to have the final result turn out correctly before the start of the season (11%, 12 Votes)

Coach Prime reports that he is cancer free. Your reaction?
  • A great day for Coach Prime, for CU athletics, and for the Buff Nation. Unlike last spring/summer, players, coaches, recruits and fans don't have to speculate about Coach Prime's availability (43%, 36 Votes)
  • It's just nice to have a real life reminder (in the midst of the tsunami which is the Sorsby debate) that there are more important things in life than football (very few ... but there are some!) (33%, 28 Votes)
  • An overlooked bonus in having Coach Prime healthy - CU has as many commits as it has been signing in December. A healthy Coach Prime is energized, and that is already paying dividends (24%, 20 Votes)

Who should take the lead in resolving the Sorsby injunction ruling?
  • All of the FBS. Georgia and Nebraska have already indicated they won't play Texas Tech. If more teams - and even conferences - refuse to deal with Texas Tech, the Red Raiders will have to back down (42%, 57 Votes)
  • The Big 12. There are options in the Big 12 By-Laws to sanction both a player and a team for detrimental conduct. If Texas Tech won't back down, Brett Yormark and the conference AD's need to act (41%, 55 Votes)
  • Sorsby and Texas Tech. Hard as it may be to believe, it should be up to Sorsby and Texas Tech to call this off. The national reaction has been 99% negative. They know he shouldn't play (17%, 23 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
