Which of the following games to you is the most important for Shedeur Sanders in his quest to impress NFL scouts?
  • September 7th - at Nebraska. The first big game of the season. On the road ... against a rival ... likely on national television. The tone for the season will be set in Lincoln (69%, 61 Votes)
  • October 29th - v. Oklahoma State. The final game of the season. Especially if CU has five wins and needs a victory to get a bowl victory. Shedeur's status - and legacy - could depend on that game (25%, 22 Votes)
  • October 19th - at Arizona. Shedeur Sanders v. Noah Fifita. The quarterbacks won't be on the field at the same time, but it really is a mano a mano affair to impress NFL scouts (6%, 6 Votes)

Running backs Dylan Edwards and Sy'veon Wilkerson enter the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
  • Wilkerson was not a surprise, but Edwards? Two weeks ago, the RB coach was talking about building sets around Edwards. This is a major loss, and I don't think Coach Prime can spin this one (44%, 134 Votes)
  • Sounds like Edwards went for more NIL money, or wasn't happy about Charlie Offerdahl being the No. 2 back. We don't know what happened, but I'm not sure it can all be laid at Coach Prime's door (33%, 101 Votes)
  • Three running backs for the Spring game - a freshman and two walk-ons. Gutting the roster was necessary last year, but Coach Prime is going to have to win games this fall to justify this model (23%, 72 Votes)

CU's 2024 season opener against North Dakota State has been moved to the Thursday night before Labor Day. Thoughts?
  • I like it! The game will give CU a great chance at nationally televised game, despite playing an FCS opponent. Oh, and getting two extra days to prepare for Nebraska won't hurt! (52%, 116 Votes)
  • We'll see next month where the game lands on the national television stage. If it's ESPN's primary game at 7:00 p.m., it's worth it. If its on ESPN2 at 8:30 p.m., it won't be worth it (39%, 88 Votes)
  • I don't like it. Friday night Labor Day games were bad enough. Now it's a five-day weekend (and BTW, Nebraska had two extra days to prepare for CU last year - didn't help) (9%, 21 Votes)

CU picks up three new additions in the trenches, as the Transfer Portal begins to swing the other way. Thoughts?
  • Great additions! Remember when we used to have huge celebrations when a four-star looked our way, and now we're disappointed if a new player isn't a four-star prospect? Welcome to The Herd! (48%, 135 Votes)
  • This is just the beginning, with over a dozen roster spots remaining to be filled. It's a good start, but there are still holes to be filled, and not too many great options out there. Fingers crossed (34%, 97 Votes)
  • These new players are fine, just like the ones they replaced were fine. This game of musical chairs provides for interesting discussion, but is not a sustainable model for long-term success (18%, 50 Votes)

Coach Prime singing the praises of his new offensive line: "It’s a different game that they’re playing". Are you buying in?
  • We'll see. I would like to believe that CU has better players, but I am concerned that this unit won't be much better than last year's. I guess we'll trust in Coach Prime ... again (52%, 112 Votes)
  • Yes. The talent all along the offensive line is demonstrably better than what CU had last year. I can't wait for the season to begin, so the Buff offensive line can prove him right! (41%, 89 Votes)
  • No. Coach Prime was saying something similar last season. Those were all his guys last year, and they failed miserably. Why should we be buying in now? (7%, 16 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
