CU finished 50th in total defense last season (43rd in scoring defense). What do you expect in 2025?
- Even better. Robert Livingston is a great coach (glad we didn't lose him to the NFL this off-season), and has an even more complete roster to work with. CU's defense will be a force in 2025! (67%, 124 Votes)
- About the same. The Buffs gave up 100 yards less and 10 points less per game than in Year One. Being steady as one of the Top 50 defenses is a feat rarely seen at CU. Do it again, Buffs! (24%, 45 Votes)
- Slightly lower, if I'm being honest. CU has to replace seven starters from last season, including a Heisman trophy winner who was a huge difference maker. A (slight) step back wouldn't be a surprise (9%, 16 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Josiah Manu. Thoughts?
- Nice pick up. Manu not only has good size (6'5", 295-pounds), but is an all-state prospect from Loveland. Nice to get a highly rated player from Colorado ... build those in-state relationships! (49%, 75 Votes)
- Nice to get a third offensive line commit. With offensive linemen taking the longest to develop, I'm taking these commitments as a sign of Coach Prime's long term commitment to the program (39%, 60 Votes)
- Fine with getting Manu, but beating out San Jose State for a commitment isn't moving the needle all that much. Is this what CU's recruiting is coming down to ... hit and hope on three-stars? (12%, 17 Votes)

Which of the following notes from the CU Fall Media Day has you most excited about the season?
- That the offensive line "probably has nine guys who could start that we don’t fear will mess it up". The success of CU's offense as a whole depends on CU's offensive line being productive (54%, 83 Votes)
- That Coach Prime is feeling "like his old self", and walking around campus each day. Depth charts and game planning aside, Coach Prime's health is the most important factor in CU's future (44%, 67 Votes)
- That CU "has a full house at the cornerback position", and that the safeties are getting to the ball. That Coach Prime likes what he sees, not just now, but for the future (2%, 3 Votes)

CU announces that Ford has been named as the sponsor for the Indoor Practice Facility. Thoughts?
- Good news! A nationally recognized sponsor for a facility which has gone nine years without a sponsor. Happy to see CU continuing to look under the cushions for additional funding (70%, 99 Votes)
- One of the benefits for Ford is being named as the "presenting partner of CU Football first downs". Not sure what that means, but hearing "Ford First Down" 30 times a game could get pretty old (15%, 22 Votes)
- Glad to hear that the IDF has been named, but as long as the stadium remains without a sponsor, CU is leaving some major dollars on the table. This needs to get done (15%, 21 Votes)
Start Date: August 7, 2025 @ 4:30 pm

CBS 1-136 rankings has CU 46th in the nation, 10th in the Big 12. Thoughts?
- CU has over-achieved the past two seasons under Coach Prime. If that holds true in 2025, the Buff Nation is in for a fun season. Can't wait for the season to start! (66%, 96 Votes)
- Okay with it. CU has been ranked in the bottom half of the national rankings to open the season for the better part of a decade. Glad to see CU is getting more respect - even from the haters (21%, 31 Votes)
- CU ranked between Tulane and Virginia Tech? Not sure how many other nine win teams are ranked this low ... I'm guessing the answer would be zero (13%, 19 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
