Which quote from the first day of spring practices do you like the best?
- DC Robert Livingston (on raise and new contract): "This is a special place, and they gave me a chance. ... They changed my life, they changed my family's life and it's my job not to let them down" (70%, 102 Votes)
- QB Julian Lewis (on having something to prove as a true freshman): "I got more to prove to myself than anybody else. I've been getting called overrated since I was 7' (21%, 30 Votes)
- OC Pat Shurmur (on running back room): "I think it's a really good group. ... They were underutilized a little bit last year. Some of that was by design" (9%, 14 Votes)

Spring practices get underway Tuesday. Rate your interest in news coming out of the Champions Center the next six weeks
- High. We haven't seen the Buffs in pads since late December. Position battles, new assistants getting in their first practices, and, of course, Coach Prime! I can't wait! (47%, 69 Votes)
- Medium. I will certainly be checking in on a regular basis, and it's better to have some news rather than none, but I don't expect any earth-shattering revelations (42%, 62 Votes)
- Low. Everything, from the video releases to the press conferences, will be filtered. Glad that the Buffs are back in pads ... just hoping for there being no news of injuries of defections (11%, 15 Votes)

As Spring Practices open this week, which interviewee are you most interested in hearing from?
- The quarterbacks. How are Julian Lewis and Kaidon Salter getting along? Is Ryan Staub planning on being a Buff this fall? Questions won't be answered, but we should get some hints on Tuesday (52%, 72 Votes)
- Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur. Hoping against hope, perhaps, but I am interested in hearing how the offense this year will include a running game and passes to the tight end (30%, 42 Votes)
- DL coaches Domata Peko and Warren Sapp. Great entertainment value ... but I'm also interested in hearing about how these coaches (with no experience) are going to coach CU's talented line (18%, 24 Votes)

CU finishes regular season 12-19, 3-17, after a Senior Day win over TCU. Thoughts on Tad Boyle's future?
- Boyle, as CU's all-time leader in victories, and should be allowed to go out on his own terms. That being said, if CU finishes dead last in the Big 12 again next year ... (55%, 100 Votes)
- Boyle took CU to a school-record 26 wins last year, and lost three players to the NBA Draft. He deserves as much time as he wants/needs to rebuild the Buffs into an NCAA tournament team again (36%, 65 Votes)
- Boyle should retire. He method of developing players over time doesn't work in today's game. He's never going to be able to compete in the loaded Big 12 (9%, 17 Votes)

CU's early season games at home against Georgia Tech and on the road against Houston have been moved to Friday. Thoughts?
- Great news! Friday night lights for the home opener Labor Day weekend and it's never a bad thing to have a game in humid Houston scheduled at night. Looking forward to it! (44%, 55 Votes)
- I like the move. Two guaranteed games on national television (not that it was much question about the Georgia Tech game). Just glad that we now know when the Georgia Tech game will be played (31%, 39 Votes)
- Not a huge fan of moving the Houston game to Friday. The Buffs will have a short week, while the Cougars have a schedule where they don't leave town until late September (25%, 30 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
