5430 Alliance announced, with a goal of $8 million for football. Thoughts on contributing?
  • I'm going to wait and see and/or this is not for me. I hope that the Alliance can reach its goals and keep CU competitive, but it's going to have to get there without me (48%, 55 Votes)
  • Coach Prime: “WE HERE and we’re not settling for nothing! We have a commitment to DOMINATE on and off the field, and in order to do that we need to DOMINATE in our NIL program as well" - I'm in! (31%, 35 Votes)
  • I've already been contributing to the Buffs4Life Foundation and/or the 5430 Foundation, so I'll be looking into substituting/adding contributions to the Alliance (21%, 24 Votes)

Colorado (and other defecting Pac-12 schools) to pay $6.5 million each to be done with the Pac-2. Thoughts?
  • Too high. So much for all of the extra ticket and merchandise sales. Funds seem to be going out the door of Champions Center about as fast as they come in (61%, 66 Votes)
  • $65M plus the tournament revenue paid out over five years ... but if the back pay NIL lawsuits pan out, it won't be near enough to cover the "Pac-12's" liability (28%, 30 Votes)
  • Too low. The $65 million total payout sounds like a great deal, but divided between the two schools, that's only going to be the equivalent of one year of lost media revenue (11%, 13 Votes)

No. 10 seed Colorado falls to No. 2 seed Marquette, 81-77. Most significant takeaway for you concerning the men's 2023-24 season
  • That the Buffs finished 26-11, setting a new school record for victories. Oh, and the Buffs went 16-1 at home, and won 22 regular season games - both of those numbers also being school records (65%, 192 Votes)
  • That the Buffs had three potential first-round draft picks on the roster, but still couldn't get to the Sweet Sixteen. Tad Boyle's ceiling is 20 wins and an NCAA berth ... and nothing past that (19%, 57 Votes)
  • That Coach Boyle now has 32 of CU's 60 all-time post-season victories. Put another way - Coach Boyle: 32 post-season wins in 14 years; every other coach in CU history: 28 post-season victories. (16%, 48 Votes)

Prediction Time: Your picks for your Buffs in the Round of 32 (No. 10 CU men v. No. 2 Marquette; No. 5 CU women v. No. 4 Kansas State)
  • You're kidding, right? The CU men are on a roll, and the CU women are a much better team than their seed suggests. Both Buff teams are heading to the Sweet Sixteen! (45%, 61 Votes)
  • The women are going to do what they did last year and win their second round game on the road. The fun run for the men's team, though, ends Sunday, with a close loss to Marquette (31%, 42 Votes)
  • Not to be a Debbie Downer, but both teams are lower seeds, and the women's team is facing a true road game. Hope to be wrong, but I think both CU teams will lose Sunday (19%, 26 Votes)
  • I can see the men winning (no turnovers and good rebounding, please!), but the women's fate was sealed with the late season swoon. A true road game against KSU and 9,000 fans = an L (5%, 8 Votes)

Colorado 102, Florida 100 ... Um ... Thoughts?
  • A spectacular win for the University of Colorado and the players. K.J. Simpson's shot will go down in history like Askia Booker's game-winner against Kansas. WOW! On to the Round of 32! (69%, 168 Votes)
  • I hate to say it, because I too am enjoying the victory, but going into stall mode in the last few minutes is what made this a game. Shouldn't have been that close (18%, 43 Votes)
  • I'm just glad that the CU game was one of only two going on at the time (the Yale/Auburn game was special, too). Glad the nation got to watch our Buffs compete ... and win! (13%, 34 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
