Which of the following groups of receivers will be the leaders for CU this fall?
  • The Miller boys. Drelon Miller and Omarion Miller are both returning, and have experience in CU's offense. They are the leaders of the room until proven otherwise (83%, 124 Votes)
  • The Transfers. Sincere Brown (Campbell), Hykeem Williams (Florida State) and Joseph Williams (Tulsa) may not be names known to Buff fans now, but they will be this fall (9%, 14 Votes)
  • The Freshmen. Quanell Farrakhan and Quentin Gibson were highly sought after recruits, and we know Coach Prime only brings in freshmen who can play. These receivers can play - and will this fall (8%, 11 Votes)

Which Rick George quote about the state of CU athletics do you find to be the most interesting?

  • That CU's $20.5 million revenue sharing will be based upon income produced by each sport. Sounds logical ... until the next Title IX lawsuit. Let's see how this plays out (7%, 12 Votes)
  • That Rick remains a pitchman. Even with $2 million in budget cuts, new and increased revenue streams remain the lifeblood of CU's future. Donate! Donate! Donate! (3%, 5 Votes)

Coach Prime: “We should be a much more fine-tuned running game because some of the linemen are straight killers that we brought in". Thoughts?
  • Last season, 71 different players individually ran for more yards than CU did as a team. CU has better offensive line, but I'll believe Coach Prime when CU actually runs the ball well (42%, 62 Votes)
  • True statement. The Buffs ranked last in the nation in rushing the past two seasons, and running the ball is clearly a priority. It's going to happen this fall (31%, 46 Votes)
  • If CU was serious about changing their running game, they would have signed a proven running back. Here's guessing QB Kaidon Salter leads the team in rushing ... and that's not a good thing (27%, 40 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
