Rate your level of interest in CU roster additions over the next few weeks
  • High. CU just picked up four new transfer commits in positions of need, and will be hosting some high profile Class of 2026 recruits this weekend. I'm into it! (58%, 151 Votes)
  • Medium. I will certainly be checking for commitments, but I'm not going to worry about official visits or Transfer Portal possibilities. It's an interesting time, but not earth-shattering (30%, 78 Votes)
  • Low. I'll wait until August for the full roster list, thanks. I'm glad the outflow has stopped, but I'm not much into the drama of new recruits in May. It's May, after all (12%, 33 Votes)

CU receives three commitments from three three-star transfers in one day. Thoughts on the new Buffs?
  • CU's Transfer Portal needs: Offensive line - check; running back - check; safety - check. Nice to see the CU coaching staff filling holes in the lineup this early. Welcome, new Buffs! (46%, 67 Votes)
  • It's early, but I'm not sure there are any blockbuster transfers still out. Oh, and I'm not a fan of CU sitting at zero in 2026 freshman commits. A good day, but CU needs a series of good days (31%, 45 Votes)
  • Happy to get some new blood, what with the roster in the mid-60s in scholarship players, but I'm not sure these are, at least this year, Power Four starters. Is CU just trading backups for backups? (23%, 33 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from wide receiver, and former five-star recruit, Hykeem Williams. Thoughts>
  • It will be interesting to get to know Mr. Williams. A five-star recruit two years ago, he didn't play much at FSU. Still a four-star transfer - with something to prove, perhaps? (47%, 75 Votes)
  • Nice to have another talented skill position player, but haven't we heard this song before? Without offensive linemen (and now running backs), it won't matter how good the receivers are (36%, 58 Votes)
  • Williams was rated as one of the Top 25 recruits in the ENTIRE NATION as part of the Recruiting Class of 2023. Will CU one of the best wide receiver rooms in the nation this fall? I believe so (17%, 27 Votes)

What is your prediction for the role Shedeur Sanders will play with the Cleveland Browns this fall
  • First things first. As a fifth round draft pick, Shedeur's first role is to make the team. On a team with five quarterbacks, I'm just hoping he makes the 53-man roster this year (45%, 96 Votes)
  • Backup, but perhaps starting by the end of the year. There are a number of quarterbacks on the roster, and it will take time for Shedeur to get through the weeds and get on the field (36%, 76 Votes)
  • Starter. Perhaps not Game One, but Shedeur will show his talent, and the Browns coaching staff will see in Camp why Shedeur was a projected Top Ten pick (19%, 40 Votes)

Has it hurt CU's Transfer Portal Class - coming and going - to have Coach Prime in Texas during the NFL Draft?
  • It doesn't matter what we think. Coach Prime and his sons have been probably been pointing towards this weekend for over a decade. Who are we to not let them enjoy the moment? (36%, 72 Votes)
  • No. We are just now hitting the end of the Spring Transfer Portal window. CU has until early June to add to the Transfer Portal Class, so the Buff Nation just needs to relax (35%, 70 Votes)
  • Yes. CU lost a few starters in the final days of the Transfer Portal, has zero Class of 2026 Recruits, and only four new players. Time for Coach to pay attention to the 2025 team (29%, 56 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
