CU has completed the first half of the 2022 season with a 1-5 record. What will be CU's record in the second half of the season?
- 1-5. Arizona State is probably the best chance at Win No. 2. Get past the Oregon State game with some dignity in tact, and a Homecoming win could happen (54%, 157 Votes)
- 2-4 ... or better. I don't know if you noticed, but the team which took the field against Cal is a different team than the disaster fielded by Karl Dorrell. This team will be competitive from here on (27%, 78 Votes)
- 0-6. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but CU's best chances at victories are in the rear view mirror. Enjoy the week, because it will be the last win of the season (19%, 55 Votes)

Colorado opens as a 23.0-point underdog on the road against Oregon State. Thoughts?
- As hard as it may be to hear after a big win, that's probably about right. Oregon State held Washington State to ten points, and WSU has a much better offense than does CU (48%, 159 Votes)
- Not really buying it. While Oregon State certainly should be favored, I don't know if they are good enough on offense to be a three-touchdown favorite. Take the Buffs and the points (37%, 120 Votes)
- Call me an optimist, but this Buff team has shown us something. If they can get the offense to be even minimally productive, the defense can make it happen. Drink the Sanford Kool-Aid - CU wins! (15%, 49 Votes)

Colorado 20, California 13, OT. Thoughts?
- A great win for the players! Congratulations to the team, the interim coaching staff, and the 50,000 fans who showed up. Everyone played a role in the win! (65%, 309 Votes)
- I'm just soooo glad that CU will not post its first winless season since the 19th century. CU still has miles to go to even be mediocre, but it's nice to get at least one win this season (26%, 124 Votes)
- Umm ... Where was this defense the first five games of the season? Nice to know that there is Power Five talent on this team, and that they can win Pac-12 games with decent coaching (9%, 44 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado v. California (Saturday, noon, MT, Pac-12 Networks)
- The Buffs have a new head coach, a new outlook, and fresh start. The lineup, though, consists of the same players. Buffs' energy keeps it close, and under two touchdowns, but Cal still wins the game (38%, 64 Votes)
- Well, the Buffs are two-touchdown underdogs and haven't beaten the spread once this season. No need to overthink it ... Bears in a rout (38%, 63 Votes)
- Call me a crazy optimist, but I think the stars are aligned for this one. A near sellout wills the Buffs to their first (and perhaps only?) win of the season! (24%, 41 Votes)
Start Date: October 14, 2022 @ 4:14 pm

Other than No. 7 USC at No. 20 Utah (and, of course, CU v. Cal), which Pac-12 game will you be most interested in this weekend?
- Washington State at Oregon State (7:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). Two early choices to challenge for the Pac-12, both are 1-2 in Pac-12 play. An elimination game in Corvallis (51%, 68 Votes)
- Stanford at Notre Dame (5:30 p.m., MT, NBC). The Irish haven't been world-beaters, but the Cardinal have been horrid. Can Stanford (like CU) rise from the ashes? (28%, 37 Votes)
- Arizona at Washington (3:30 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). Formerly 4-0 Washington has lost two in a row. Can the Huskies regain some swagger against the Wildcats? (21%, 28 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
