CBS Sports is reporting that the Big Ten may target Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford. Thoughts?
- All I know is that I hope (pray) that CU's leadership is working the phones, and my Buffs don't end up in a third-rate conference. CU's brand is tarnished, but not gone - get it done! (57%, 180 Votes)
- Give it a rest, Dennis Dodd (and CBS). If the Big Ten wanted those schools, they would have gotten them. There is not going to be any additional movement for some time, so quit with the click bait (22%, 71 Votes)
- Hate to say it, but it makes sense. It would give the Big Ten (and Fox) a strong foothold in the Pacific time zone, which will help the west coast teams and hurt ESPN (21%, 67 Votes)

All-Pac-12 Media Preseason team released - Eleven of 12 teams have at least two representatives on first two teams; CU has zero. Thoughts?
- Sounds about right. CU recruits players with few P5 offers, get their best players taken by other teams, and refuse to participate in NIL. Attention, Champions Center top floors: You reap what you sow (48%, 98 Votes)
- You have to love the fact that three former Buffs made the All-Pac-12 team. Wonder if they would have made the team if they still played for CU. Another sad day for the Buff Nation. Sigh (37%, 77 Votes)
- Just a sign that the west coast media pays as little (or even less) attention to CU as the preseason magazines. Nothing to see here (15%, 31 Votes)

Which of the following stats (From Stewart Mandel's article) gives you the most hope about CU's conference future?
- That the top six remaining teams in the Pac-12 (including Colorado) have all been better draws on television than any of the eight returning Big 12 teams (46%, 97 Votes)
- That Colorado, even in the (mostly) dreadful run since 2015, has still been a better draw than five of the nine other "Pac-10" teams (including Utah, Cal and ASU) (39%, 82 Votes)
- That Pac-12 After Dark (despite not being favored by the fan base) will be the Pac-12's secret weapon in future negotiations with the networks (15%, 33 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from CU's offensive linemen give you the most optimism about the 2022 season?
- Frank Filip (on impact of new head coach Kyle DeVan: "It’s like the blindfold’s been taken off and everyone’s getting better every day" (82%, 161 Votes)
- Jake Wiley: “I feel like this year has gotta be a real big year for myself and the whole O-line as a unit ... We’re gonna be real good this year. I’m excited to go out there and just play" (14%, 27 Votes)
- Austin Johnson: “Coaches matter, but to a point we have really just been able to stick together as a group and come together and that’s all that matters. I love the boys in the group" (4%, 8 Votes)

Wilner doesn't see the Big 12 taking only the Four Corners schools. Thoughts?
- I hope that he is wrong. There is no scenario where Oregon and Washington will stay if the Big Ten offers, so the best option for CU is the Big 12 - I hope that's what works out (53%, 83 Votes)
- Wilner showing his Bay area and west coast bias again. It's true that it wouldn't make sense to take the mountain schools if Oregon and Washington were available, but they probably aren't going (26%, 41 Votes)
- "If all the Pac-12 schools are available, why would the Big 12 only take the Four Corners when the real value lies in the Oregon and Washington brands and the Bay Area media market?" - Makes sense (21%, 34 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
