Colorado mauled by Minnesota for the second straight year. Thoughts?
- If Karl Dorrell is still the head coach at the end of the season, Colorado should just concede it doesn't care about football, and petition the Mountain West for admission (51%, 204 Votes)
- Another week, another embarrassing loss. The Buffs were four touchdown underdogs, so what did anyone expect? Three losses down, nine to go before we can start dreaming about different results in 2023 (39%, 154 Votes)
- Nice to have two tough road games out of the way (who schedules such a gauntlet, anyway?). UCLA was a play away from losing to South Alabama, so hope springs eternal each week (10%, 39 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at Minnesota (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, ESPN2)
- The worst Power-Five team in the nation will once again show why they are the worst. Until the Buffs can show otherwise, it's always a better bet to lay the points. Minnesota in an ugly rout (68%, 178 Votes)
- It would be difficult for the Buffs not to play better, and the Golden Gophers will be looking ahead to their game against Michigan State. Buffs won't win, but can beat the huge spread (27.5-points) (26%, 68 Votes)
- A great week of practices (Dorrell said so!), an over-confident Golden Gopher team, and a quarterback in J.T. Shrout who won't have to throw in the rain. Buffs win! (6%, 14 Votes)

Which of the following Pac-12 games this weekend for you holds the most interest?
- No. 12 BYU at No. 25 Oregon ... The Cougars are good, but good enough to win in Eugene? The Ducks were crushed, then beat up on an FCS team. How good are the Ducks under Dan Lanning? (40%, 84 Votes)
- No. 11 Michigan State at Washington ... Who to cheer for? CU has to play in Seattle in November, but watching Mel Tucker's Spartans would also be fun. Not sure who to cheer for/against (36%, 76 Votes)
- North Dakota State at Arizona ... Everyone is loving the new and improved Wildcats, but the Bison have won six straight against FBS schools. Should be an interesting game (18%, 39 Votes)
- California at Notre Dame ... The Bears aren't that good, but the Irish have lost three straight, including last weekend to Marshall. Is Notre Dame bad enough to lose to Cal? (6%, 13 Votes)

CU is ranked No. 5 in the latest CBS "Bottom 25". Thoughts?
- I just hope that this is up on every door on the fifth floor of the Champions Center (the admin floor). It's years past time that CU wakes up and does whatever it takes to improve the program (66%, 183 Votes)
- An embarrassment, to be sure. There is only one other Power Five conference team on the list (Boston College, back at No. 23). Paper bag time at the UCLA game next weekend? (29%, 80 Votes)
- The Buffs are struggling, to be sure, but most teams have not taken on the non-conference slate the Buffs have. This will work itself out over time (5%, 15 Votes)
Start Date: September 14, 2022 @ 4:18 pm

Who do you believe will be the starting quarterback against Minnesota?
- J.T. Shrout - Shrout's debut was inauspicious, but it was on the road and in the rain (with six drops). He will get his second chance against Minnesota (70%, 209 Votes)
- Owen McCown - Dorrell hinted after the Air Force game that it may take a third quarterback to spark the team. The Buffs literally have nothing to lose - give the freshman a chance (16%, 49 Votes)
- Brendon Lewis - Fans were calling for J.T. Shrout to start, and he did against Air Force. After a 5-21, 51 yard, one interception performance, Lewis will be back (14%, 39 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
