Which of the following quotes from interim head coach Mike Sanford to you was the most significant?
- Just glad to hear him speak truth to power. I hope Rick George and the CU administrators are listening - and will take Sanford's words to heart: "You don’t want to be a farm system for someone else” (82%, 190 Votes)
- On Washington going from 4-8 (like CU), and turning into Top 15 team: "It’s usually going to be about talent acquisition. That the name of the game in football … You have to have things in place" (13%, 31 Votes)
- "Hard for players to see (former teammates) playing for top teams. They have feelings … When you are looking at retention on the roster, you have to be cognizant of that fact" (5%, 11 Votes)

Which is the more impressive accomplishment by the CU basketball team this weekend?
- That the men's basketball team has given CU fans something to be proud of, even if only for a few days. It's been tough being a Buff - so thanks, Boyle & Co. for that (68%, 147 Votes)
- That the Buffs are among the "others receiving votes" in this week's AP poll, especially in light of the loss to Grambling State. The sky - and the NCAA tournament - is the limit for this team (17%, 37 Votes)
- That K.J. Simpson was named the Pac-12 Player-of-the-Week, the first Buff to earn that honor since McKinley Wright two seasons ago. Bodes well for CU that Simpson has upped his game (15%, 33 Votes)

Buffs upset No. 11 Tennessee in Nashville, 78-66. Thoughts?
- I'm just glad we as CU fans finally have something to cheer about. Signing a five-star prospect, then beating the No. 11 team in the country (basically) on the road. Nice to feel good for a change (48%, 138 Votes)
- Well, this is more like it! We knew there would be some ups and downs in the early campaign, but after the down against Grambling, no one predicted this "up". Well done, Buffs! (42%, 122 Votes)
- We'll just have to cheer for Tennessee the rest of the season. It will only offset the "bad loss" to Grambling if this proves to be a big win for CU's NET Rankings come March (10%, 28 Votes)

Which is the most important factor for the University of Colorado football program to become relevant again?
- Getting the next hire right. If CU doesn't get a splash hire, there will be no hope of attracting enough quality transfers to turn the program around (44%, 112 Votes)
- Getting the transfer policies at Colorado changed. If CU can't compete for transfers, there is no hope for building a program going forward (38%, 97 Votes)
- Getting the Buffs4Life NIL program well funded. If CU can't find a way to attract new players, including high school recruits - not to mention retaining current players - CU can't compete (18%, 48 Votes)

No. 8 USC 55, Colorado 17. Thoughts?
- About what we had expected. Had the Trojans not run up the score with a touchdown with 36 seconds remaining, the Buffs would have at least beaten the 34-pont spread (44%, 87 Votes)
- Who cares about the football team? The embarrassment of the night was the men's basketball team losing to Grambling State. Not even Thanksgiving, and our hopes for MBB have already been dashed (32%, 63 Votes)
- A complete embarrassment. The Buffs held the lead for the first time in a month, Alex Fontenot played well, and the defense gave Caleb Williams his second interception of the season. That's it (24%, 49 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
