Which event(s) over the next few days for you is the most compelling?
- US v. Netherlands in the World Cup Saturday morning. The US has advanced to the "Sweet Sixteen", and has a chance to make a name for itself in world soccer (34%, 100 Votes)
- Conference football championships. It's still football season, after all ... Oh, and I may be a little more interested in the SWAC title game than I might normally have been 😉 (32%, 93 Votes)
- CU men's basketball v. Arizona State (Thurs., 6:30 p.m., MT, FS1) and Washington (Sunday, 1:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). CU needs to get off to a good start in Pac-12 play (24%, 71 Votes)
- CU women's volleyball in the NCAA tournament. Buffs play Rice on Thursday, and, if they advance, likely Baylor on Friday. Well done, Buffs, for making the Big Dance! (10%, 30 Votes)

Just curious: What is your level of interest in the World Cup?
- High. It's the most popular sport and tournament in the world, and the US has made it to the knockout round. Plenty of teams to cheer for in addition to USA! USA! (41%, 125 Votes)
- Low. The last two games involving the US were 0-0 and 1-0. Hell, the CU offense this fall was more productive and interesting. Hard pass on the World Cup - give me football and basketball any day (37%, 112 Votes)
- Medium. I'm aware that its going on, and glad that the US has got a good enough team to compete, but I probably won't pay too much attention until the semis or finals (22%, 67 Votes)

Rate your current level of confidence that Colorado will hire Deion Sanders to be its next head coach
- Medium. The signs are positive - national coverage, no denials from either party - but I won't be celebrating the hire until the ink is dry on the contract (51%, 218 Votes)
- Low. We're talking CU, right? If there is a way to miss this opportunity, CU will find it. I'm afraid we'll be talking this time next week about CU's "Plan B" choice, shaking our heads yet again (38%, 161 Votes)
- High. Sanders acknowledged that he had the offer, and didn't take the opportunity to say he wasn't interested. If Sanders wasn't in, CU would have named another coach by now (11%, 50 Votes)

Just for "fun": Which of the following would you rate as the worst team in CU football history?
- 2012 (1-11) - Fell behind Fresno State 35-0 - in the first quarter ... a loss to Sacramento State ... a 70-14 loss to Oregon ... gave up 48+ points in five straight games (39%, 136 Votes)
- 2022 (1-11) ... Gave up first drive touchdowns to seven opponents ... Set all-time opponent records for yards and points allowed ... Destroyed by four ranked November opponents (38%, 131 Votes)
- 1980 (1-10) - Fell behind UCLA 56-0 - at halftime of the opener ... a loss to Drake ... the epic 82-42 loss to Oklahoma ... the damning Sports Illustrated article after CU cut minor sports ... (20%, 69 Votes)
- 1890 (0-4) - The only team in Colorado football history to finish without a win. Plus, this team absorbed the worst-ever defeat (103-0 loss to Colorado Mines) in school history (3%, 11 Votes)

No. 14 Utah 63, Colorado 21. Thoughts?
- It's a "splash hire" or bust now for Rick George. Without positive momentum this off-season, Folsom Field will be 75% Nebraska red for the home opener next fall. Get it done, Rick! (47%, 162 Votes)
- 42-0 at the break. CU posted seven three-and-outs, one first down, and 18 total yards in the first half. If there was a worse team in college football in 2022, I must have missed it (28%, 95 Votes)
- Hats off to the seniors and the interim coaching staff. Down 42-0 at half, they kept playing and kept trying. It didn't work out as well as anyone would have hoped, but I do appreciate the effort (25%, 86 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
