Pressure being put on Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren to reinstate the fall schedule for the conference. Thoughts?
- All I know is that if the Big Ten changes its position, the Pac-12 had better follow suit. Otherwise the conference - already considered the weakest in the Power Five - will drift into irrelevancy (43%, 96 Votes)
- Never gonna happen. They can have all the petitions that they want, but the Big Ten will hold firm. The decision has been made, and rabid fan bases are just going to have to learn to live with it (31%, 70 Votes)
- If he does, then it just goes to show that this is political, and not based upon science. It's not as if the medical situation has improved, so for the Big Ten to back track now? Unbelievable (26%, 59 Votes)

Dr. Stephanie Chu, a CU team physician, is "confident" about CU returning to action in early 2021. Thoughts?
- Sounds good, but we've been "confident" before. Last spring, we were "confident" that CU would be playing in September. Fingers crossed, but I remain skeptical (42%, 69 Votes)
- I'm just glad that someone affiliated with CU is looking to the future with a positive outlook. That's got to be encouraging for CU's administrators, coaches and players (36%, 58 Votes)
- Excellent news. I think that she is right to be confident. I foresee the Buffs being back on the field and on the court for us to cheer for early next year (22%, 36 Votes)

In January, 2021, I foresee the following concerning CU athletics ...
- Buff basketball will be playing games, with the football team practicing, in anticipation of games in February or March (41%, 74 Votes)
- I'm afraid that neither the football team nor basketball teams will be playing. We'll have to try again in the 2021-22 academic year (38%, 68 Votes)
- Buffs basketball gearing up to play, but the football team will (still) be shut down (14%, 26 Votes)
- CU football and basketball teams in competition ... with smiles on the faces of the Buff Nation! (7%, 13 Votes)

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney believes that a national champion can still be crowned with three of the five Power Five conferences playing. Agree?
- Doesn't really matter what Swinney says. The SEC,ACC and Big 12 are merely putting off the inevitable. It will be either spring ball for everyone - or no season at all - for the 2020/21 academic year (55%, 107 Votes)
- Not a chance. The winner of the "playoff" would be no more a national champion than the winner of an April Rose Bowl. You can't have a national champ without national participation (26%, 51 Votes)
- Sure. Other than Ohio State, the Final Four in the playoffs would likely be Clemson, Alabama, and Oklahoma anyway. Just add another SEC team and call it good (19%, 37 Votes)

Neill Woelk: It's time for college football to have centralized leadership. Thoughts?
- Never gonna happen. Think the SEC will submit to a central authority? Perhaps sharing riches with other conferences? Surely, you jest (50%, 97 Votes)
- Very much agree. Conferences can't agree on when to play, or how to interpret medical advice ... and fans are left with chaos (33%, 64 Votes)
- I can understand the logic, but part of the charm of college football is the uncertainty and debate. To each (team and conference) their own (17%, 33 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
