Which quote from Rick George's press conference do you find most reassuring?
- "We budgeted for a season knowing that we wouldn’t put a lot of fans in the stadium. We already made those budget cuts" (38%, 63 Votes)
- "We’re not cutting anything that impacts the experience for our student-athletes. Health, nutrition, academics, leadership - we will not touch those areas" (37%, 61 Votes)
- “I’ve been pretty consistent on this - number one, we are not cutting sports. I told that to our student-athletes (Tuesday)" (25%, 40 Votes)

The Pac-12 joins the Big Ten in shutting down fall sports, while ACC and SEC indicate they intend to play. Thoughts?
- I feel bad for the players, but this was the right decision to make. The medical evidence does not support the idea of proceeding with collegiate athletics until the spring at the earliest (38%, 109 Votes)
- It was possible that there would be a cancellation at some point, but why now? What is so different from when the 10-game schedules were announced? They should have waited (at least) a few more weeks (32%, 94 Votes)
- If you look at it through black-and-gold colored glasses, it may be a blessing. CU was put in a deep hole by Mel Tucker. Teams will be on a more even footing once practices and games resume (30%, 87 Votes)

Reports: Conferences shutting down for the fall. Big Ten going first? Pac-12 voting on Tuesday? Mountain West out? Thoughts?
- It's just recognizing the inevitable. Fall Camps are opening up ... they have kicked the can down the road long enough. It's time to call it (54%, 109 Votes)
- We'll see how it plays out. If the Big Ten and/or Pac-12 don't want to play, but the other three conference do vote to play, the Big Ten/Pac-12 may have to reconsider (35%, 71 Votes)
- I'm just glad that it wasn't the Pac-12 to pull the trigger first (if in fact the Big Ten has voted not to play). The Pac-12 already has enough of an image problem (11%, 23 Votes)

CU Hall of Famer Carroll Hardy passes away. Which of Hardy's accomplishments do you find to be the most impressive?
- That Hardy had better numbers in '54 than Heisman trophy winner Wisconsin's Alan Ameche (more rushing yards; eight touchdowns to zero) ... and should have won CU's first Heisman (43%, 82 Votes)
- That Hardy had a .392 batting average at CU; spent ten years playing in the MLB (after a year in the NFL); and is the only player to pinch-hit for Ted Williams (30%, 57 Votes)
- That Hardy won ten letters at CU (Football; baseball; track). Behind Hardy? Dave Logan (with eight) and Hale Irwin (with six) (27%, 53 Votes)

Rate your opinion as to the chances of CU playing at Oregon seven weekends from now ...
- Low. Most of the FCS is already out, now joined by the MAC ... the dominoes are starting to fall, and the Power Five will have no choice but to wait until spring (65%, 158 Votes)
- Medium. There have certainly been some highs and some lows the past few weeks, but there is too much at stake (financially) not to play, so I'm guessing it's going to happen (28%, 69 Votes)
- High. Power Five schools are going to figure out how to get this done, even if it means not having fans. Go Buffs - get the upset win! (7%, 16 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
