CU receives a commitment from Trevor Woods, a three-star safety from Katy, Texas. Thoughts?
- I do like the fact that Woods was being recruited by the academies and the Ivy League ... You want to have a smart (and talented) player at the safety position. Welcome, Mr. Woods! (47%, 108 Votes)
- Exceptional pickup. Did you notice that Woods had four interceptions in his junior year, and all four were returned for touchdowns (two going for over 90 yards)? (28%, 65 Votes)
- The second commit in a week from a large school in Texas ... who wasn't even rated by Rivals when they committed. I'd like to be excited ... but these last two recruits seem like reaches (25%, 57 Votes)

Sports attorney: Power-Five schools won't be able to use "force majeure" to get out of non-conference games. Thoughts?
- It won't matter too much in the end. Schools like CU will re-schedule with teams like CSU and Fresno State, or mediate some form of settlement. The cost of the game cancellations will be shared (39%, 65 Votes)
- I'm not buying it. If a pandemic isn't an "Act of God", it's hard to imagine what would qualify. This is just attorney speak for: "We're going to make a lot of money fighting over this" (33%, 55 Votes)
- Makes sense. Hard to argue that schools like CU can add a road game against Oregon State, but can't play a game against CSU up the road. Either it's safe enough to play, or it's not (28%, 48 Votes)

Oklahoma has moved up its season opener against Missouri State to August 29th. Thoughts?
- It's an odd move, considering that OU head coach has been a leading proponent of the viability of spring ball (39%, 55 Votes)
- It's a tough move for the Pac-12. Another indication that the SEC, Big 12, and ACC are going to play non-conference games. If the Big Ten changes its mind, the Pac-12 will (again) be the odd man out (39%, 54 Votes)
- It's a smart move. The Sooners now have a bye week between each of their non-conference games, allowing them to ease into an uncertain season (22%, 31 Votes)

What are your thoughts as to the Pac-12 taking on a ten-game conference schedule, with CU reportedly to add Oregon State?
- I'm actually just glad to see that the Pac-12 is taking a leadership position in this discussion. I don't know if it will work out, but I applaud the effort (48%, 55 Votes)
- I like it. A ten-game schedule gives the players a full season, with flexibility of some bye weeks if they become necessary. Plus, if you are going to add a game, I'd rather play OSU than Cal (35%, 40 Votes)
- It's all good, though if safety were the primary concern, a bus trip to Ft. Collins would have made more sense than a flight to play in Corvallis (17%, 20 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from 6'5", 241-pound defensive lineman Ryan Williams. Thoughts?
- I'm going to have to trust the coaches on this one. Williams looks like the real deal physically. I hope he gets to play a senior season and show everyone why CU thinks he is the real deal (61%, 111 Votes)
- One other offer, and that was from Texas Southern. Not even rated by Rivals when he committed (now a two-star prospect). Hard to be "under-the-radar" for a state champion. Color me unimpressed (23%, 42 Votes)
- Like it. A player in a position of need (defensive line) from a quality program (5A Texas state champion). He will come to Boulder knowing how to play (16%, 29 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
