CU receives a commitment from KJ Simpson, a four-star point guard who had previously signed with Arizona. Thoughts?
- Okay - now I'm excited. Together with four-star forward Quincy Allen and four-star Lawson Lovering, CU now has a top ten (No. 9) Class. Never thought I would see the day! (72%, 242 Votes)
- I'm just glad to be living in a world where CU signed a guard who had signed with Arizona, and then chose CU over Oregon in his second round of recruiting. Is CU becoming a basketball school? (23%, 77 Votes)
- Happy to see another quality point-guard in the fold. Still, the proof is in the pudding. Will one of them (adequately) step up as McKinley Wright's replacement, and lead CU back to the Dance? (5%, 18 Votes)

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has CU as one of the "First Four Out" in his first 2021-22 men's basketball bracketology. Thoughts?
- Let's see. CU finished 3rd in the Pac-12, was given a No. 5 seed in the Big Dance, and has the 17th-ranked Recruiting Class in the nation. Sure, why not drop CU out of the rankings? No bias here! (44%, 96 Votes)
- I'm just excited to see both the men's and women's teams discussed. It will take several years of tournament success before CU gets the benefits of any doubts in the preseason (39%, 85 Votes)
- Probably about right. Until or unless a qualified replacement for McKinley Wright is identified (and plays the part), CU will be on the outside looking in when it comes to national rankings (17%, 37 Votes)

If given the opportunity, would you attend the CU Spring Showcase (9:00 - 11:00 a.m., MT, Friday)?
- Yes. It's been four months since I've been able to watch my Buffs, and it will be another four months before they will suit up again. I need my Folsom Field fix! (43%, 90 Votes)
- No. In case the CU hadn't noticed, most of their fans work for a living, and taking time off for a "showcase" (read: drills and an abbreviated scrimmage) isn't worth taking time off from work (38%, 79 Votes)
- No, because CU waited so long to let us know (thanks, Boulder County!) that it was impossible to plan. I would have made plans to go, if there had been options made available to actually attend (19%, 40 Votes)

Which quote from the third scrimmage gives you the most optimism for the 2021 season?
- DL Jalen Sami: “Coach Dorrell has the right staff here to help us to win championships. We’re doing that day by day, brick by brick and stacking days to get better" (60%, 113 Votes)
- HC Karl Dorrell: "The whole goal is to make sure that those young guys feel like they’ve had a productive spring, that they’ve learned a lot, and then they can carry that into the summer" (30%, 56 Votes)
- TE Brady Russell: "We’ve got to know our new coaches, we’ve got to invest some time into each other. It’s helped us grow closer in our relationships with our coaches a lot, which is very important" (10%, 18 Votes)

If you had your choice, how many teams would participate in the College Football Playoff?
- Eight - Five Power Five champions plus three wild cards. Gives conference champions a chance (including the Pac-12) while allowing other Power Five conferences to have multiple entries when deserved (65%, 190 Votes)
- Ten; 12 ... or more. The more or merrier. The FCS has gone from 16 to 20 teams without any issues. Bring in a host of teams, play early games on campus ... and sit back to watch the fun (17%, 49 Votes)
- Six - Put in the Power Five champions and a representative from the Group of Five. Gives everyone a chance at the national title every season (15%, 44 Votes)
- Four - Leave it as is. Any more teams, and you will dilute the process (and make it all the more likely to have an all-SEC championship game) (3%, 10 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
