No deal: College Football Playoff likely to remain at four teams for the next four years. Thoughts?
- Until or unless my Buffs are back in the mix for a Pac-12 title and a playoff berth, I'm not really concerned with what happens with the College Football Playoff (50%, 83 Votes)
- I'm more disappointed that the Big Ten is backing off of the idea of an eight-game conference season and some Alliance non-conference games. Better non-conference games would have added exposure (34%, 56 Votes)
- A sad time for the Pac-12. Without playoff expansion, it remains unlikely for the conference to earn a playoff spot ... and playoff money. Not a good look for the conference (16%, 27 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from 6'1", 195-pound three-star wide receiver Edward Schultz. Thoughts?
- Now this is what CU needs to be looking for - a speedy wide receiver with an offer sheet from half of the Pac-12 South, along with schools like Oklahoma and Texas A&M. Welcome, Mr. Schultz! (76%, 190 Votes)
- I do like the fact that his coach is Scott McKnight. If Mr. Schultz can be half as successful as Scotty McKnight, this is a great find for the CU coaching staff (13%, 33 Votes)
- Another three-star prospect. Fine, but CU's roster is littered with three-star prospects ... and almost a generation of losing. Nothing against the young man, but seems like more of the same (11%, 27 Votes)

Three-year Arizona State starting quarterback Jayden Daniels enters the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- Not really interested. Yes, it might make ASU easier to beat this fall, but since it's unlikely that Daniels will be interested in CU, I'm not that interested in him or his leaving Tempe (42%, 108 Votes)
- With all of the assistant coaches fired, and the worst Recruiting Class in the Pac-12, it makes you wonder how long Herm Edwards will last as ASU's head coach (30%, 77 Votes)
- Likely just another example of a player leaving his school of four years for more NIL money. It's a sign of the times ... and not a good sign (28%, 70 Votes)

CU's "Quarterback Comfort Ranking" rated lowest in the Pac-12. Thoughts?
- Nothing to see here. It's February, and spring ball is designed to give players to show they deserve a chance to play. Ask again at the end of spring ball ... hopefully there will be some clarity (51%, 123 Votes)
- A fair assessment. No guarantee of who will be CU's quarterback next fall. Lewis has been inconsistent, and none of his challengers have a resume which includes significant time at this level (41%, 100 Votes)
- Just another condemnation article from Jon Wilner at the San Jose Mercury News. The next article Wilner writes which praises CU will be the first (8%, 18 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from new offensive line coach Kyle DeVan gives you the most optimism?
- “Everybody’s gonna start over with a clean slate. I know they’ve been through a lot. I’m understanding of that and want all those guys to understand that they’re going to get a fresh start" (44%, 73 Votes)
- "We really didn’t talk about football (initially). We talked about life, and we talked about goals. I think that’s important. I want them to know that I’m invested in them as a person" (28%, 47 Votes)
- “I didn’t have the easy way (as a player). What it showed me is my passion for the game. And it showed me that, you know what, I’m going to do anything to be the best that I can be" (28%, 47 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
