Which news story of the day to you was the most "eyebrow raising"?
- That Texas announced a $10 million NIL deal for its "student-athletes". If the $95 - $110 million coaching contracts weren't already a sign of the apocalypse, this is certainly it (62%, 163 Votes)
- That CSU fired Steve Addazio after only two seasons. Addazio was only 4-12, and had alienated players and fans, but I was surprised that CSU pulled the plug so quickly (20%, 54 Votes)
- That the Buffs "only" lost to No. 5 UCLA, 73-61. The Buffs were down, 39-23, at halftime, but battled back to make it a game in the second half. Let's see how the Tennessee game goes ... (18%, 48 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from Eoghan Kerry, a three-star linebacker from Mater Dei high in California. Thoughts?
- A quality recruit? Check. Offers from multiple Power Five conference schools? Check. A recruit in a position of need? Check. Thumbs up! Welcome to the Black-and-Gold, Mr. Kerry! (59%, 207 Votes)
- I'm not sure what I like better - that Kerry plays for California high school power Mater Dei, or that Kerry was a Texas commit for the past three months, and flipped to CU. A good day for the Buffs (38%, 133 Votes)
- While everyone likes new names and profiles, the truth is that at this point, every new recruit means a current player on the roster has to go. I'm not sure that getting even younger is the way to go (3%, 9 Votes)

Seven Buffs so far have put their names into the Transfer Portal, including running back Ashaad Clayton. Thoughts?
- I wish these players well. They weren't contributing at CU, and I hope they find a better fit. It's the nature of the beast - for CU to bring in transfers, there needs to be some attrition (73%, 308 Votes)
- The first seven of many. I'm afraid there will be a number of defections from the program, which hasn't shown the ability to bring in quality recruits, or develop them when they get there (14%, 60 Votes)
- Nothing against the players who are leaving, but the ones who have announced so far accounted for less than 100 yards rushing and receiving, and six total tackles. Addition by subtraction (13%, 53 Votes)

Lincoln Riley named the new head coach at USC. Good news for CU and the Pac-12?
- Good news. The Pac-12 has become an afterthought in the eyes of the nation. Riley will bring more eyes (and dollars) to the Pac-12 and Colorado (47%, 168 Votes)
- No difference to CU. USC is already getting as many four- and five-star recruits as it wants. CU is 0-for-forever against USC anyway. Riley's presence won't change that narrative (45%, 161 Votes)
- Bad news for CU and the rest of the Pac-12. Riley will bring high-profile recruits (especially quarterbacks) to USC, and make it even more difficult for the Buffs to be competitive in the South (8%, 32 Votes)
Start Date: November 29, 2021 @ 5:58 pm

CU offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini fired. Thoughts?
- Coach Chiaverini deserved to be let go, but he was also the scapegoat for a horrid offense. Are other coaches going to be let go? Was it Chiaverini's game plan which failed, or Dorrell's? We'll see (41%, 180 Votes)
- We won't be able to celebrate or lament the move until the next OC is named. Are the big donors writing checks to up the AC budget? If not, we're just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic (36%, 155 Votes)
- It's about time. Actually, it's at least a half season, and perhaps a full season, too late in coming. This year was a disaster, and the damage may take years to overcome (23%, 100 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
