What, in CU's first day of its off-season, appears to you to be the Buffs' biggest need for the 2022 season?
- A new offensive coordinator. You can't finish in the bottom ten nationally in almost every statistical category and maintain the status quo (56%, 206 Votes)
- A Transfer Portal blitzkrieg, especially in the trenches. Without more talent on the roster, there won't be any better results. Wholesale roster changes need to be made (35%, 128 Votes)
- A quality quarterback recruit through the Transfer Portal. If J.T. Shrout isn't the answer, and Lewis has a low ceiling, the Buffs won't post a winning season without a quality quarterback (9%, 31 Votes)

No. 16 Utah 28, Colorado 13. Thoughts?
- Call me crazy, but I was actually proud of this team today. The defense was decimated by injuries, but still played Utah better than did No. 3 Oregon. They never quit - that's all you can ask (38%, 138 Votes)
- Let me get this straight - CU's offense was out-gained by the CU defense and special teams (178 yards to 148). Here's hoping the next offensive coordinator is a miracle worker (34%, 122 Votes)
- A 4-8 season. Another campaign without a winning record; another campaign without a bowl bid. I'm surprised I'm still here. Sigh - on to reading up on coaching and roster changes - and spring ball! (28%, 102 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for CU's 2021 season finale, taking on No. 16 Utah (Friday, 2:00 p.m., FOX):
- Anyone who saw the Buffs struggle against Washington offensively, and/or watched Utah destroy No. 3 Oregon, understand that this will be a rout. Sorry, but this will be over early, and an ugly rout (58%, 123 Votes)
- Utah has nothing to play for (clinched division; out of CFP race), so the Utes will play conservatively and put in backups early. Utah wins, but CU covers the 24-point spread (31%, 67 Votes)
- The week before routing Oregon, the Utes struggled against Arizona. This is a let down (after the OU game)/ look ahead (Pac-12 championship) game for Utah. Buffs have nothing to lose, and will win! (11%, 23 Votes)

Which of the Pac-12 games this weekend holds the most interest for you?
- Oregon State at Oregon (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, ESPN) ... Will the Ducks rebound from the loss to Utah? Will the Beavers stake a claim to the Pac-12 North division title? (70%, 107 Votes)
- BYU at USC (Saturday, 8:30 p.m., ESPN) ... Is it possible that BYU will go 5-0 against the Pac-12 in 2021? (14%, 21 Votes)
- Notre Dame at Stanford (Saturday, 6:00 p.m., FOX) ... Is it possible that David Shaw's Cardinal will finish 3-9? (7%, 10 Votes)
- Washington State at Washington (Friday, 6:00 p.m., FS1) ... The Cougars have a shot at the Pac-12 North title, but the Huskies have won eight straight Apple Cups (4%, 6 Votes)
- Cal at UCLA (Saturday, 8:30 p.m., MT, FS1) ... Cal has been playing better ... but UCLA routed USC last weekend, and is looking for an eight-win regular season (4%, 6 Votes)
- Arizona at Arizona State (Saturday, 2:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks) ... It was 70-3, ASU last year. The Sun Devils have been a disappointment - can the Wildcats take advantage? (1%, 2 Votes)

CU loses a commitment from a three-star offensive lineman, McKale Boley. Thoughts?
- Addition by subtraction. Nothing against the young man, but Boley had no other offers. Not just no other Power Five offers, but no other offers, period. CU needs to recruit better (53%, 151 Votes)
- CU only had three offensive line recruits in this Class to start with. Line improvement is vital for CU's recruitment Let's see who CU comes up as a replacement before getting excited or upset (27%, 76 Votes)
- Not a big surprise, considering. Boley is from Mississippi - not a CU recruiting hotbed - and was recruited by since fired offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue. Disappointing, but it's not a shock (20%, 56 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
