Which of the current Pac-12 coaches would be the best fit as the Washington coach?
- Cal's Justin Wilcox ... A former Washington defensive coordinator, Wilcox could be tired of all of the issues (COVID, financial) facing coaches at Cal. He may be looking for a fresh start (45%, 76 Votes)
- Oregon State's Jonathan Smith ... A former Washington offensive coordinator, Smith, like Wilcox, would have much greater resources to work with in Seattle than he has in Corvallis (41%, 69 Votes)
- UCLA's Chip Kelly ... It could be a mutually beneficial parting with UCLA. Kelly hasn't set the world on fire in Westwood, and would be welcomed by the Husky Nation (if only to try and beat Oregon) (14%, 25 Votes)

Which Pac-12 game (other than CU v. Washington) is the most interesting to you this weekend?
- Oregon at Utah ... The Ducks will have to beat the Utes twice in three weeks to have a shot at the playoffs. Utes trying to get to the Rose Bowl for the first time (89%, 171 Votes)
- UCLA at USC ... USC freshman Jaxson Dart makes his first start; Trojans have to win 2-of-3 (UCLA; BYU; at Cal) just to get to bowl-eligibility (8%, 16 Votes)
- Arizona at Washington State ... Okay, the game might not be all that interesting, but it's on Friday night, so there won't be any other games to watch (2%, 3 Votes)
- Cal at Stanford ... "The Big Game" isn't really. A 3-6 team v. a 3-7 team ... could David Shaw be fired? Will Justin Wilcox leave for Washington? (1%, 2 Votes)
- Arizona State at Oregon State ... Two teams which have had their moments in the sun, but have also had disappointments (0%, 1 Votes)

Which team do you see as having the greater motivational factor for this weekend's game?
- Neither - If these players can't be self-motivated by Game Eleven, they can't be motivated. They have to be prepared, regardless of outside circumstances (48%, 118 Votes)
- Colorado - Playing for the seniors: Dorrell "I think the biggest motivation right now is for our seniors to feel like they made a great impact" (27%, 66 Votes)
- Washington - The players know that if they beat CU and win the Apple Cup (for the 8th straight season), they will go bowling. That's pretty strong motivation (25%, 61 Votes)

Colorado is a 7.0-point underdog at home to Washington. Thoughts?
- The Buffs are a different team at home. I'm betting Nate Landman will play, and the team will come out ready to put the stink of the UCLA game behind them. Buffs win one for the seniors! (35%, 92 Votes)
- Two struggling offenses. The Huskies have a better defense, but the Buffs are at home. I wouldn't bet on the Buffs winning, but it should be a close finish either way (34%, 89 Votes)
- Did you see the Buffs Saturday night? When the Buffs last imploded like that (see: Oregon State, 2018), the Buffs didn't win another game. The Huskies still have a bowl to play for, and will dominate (31%, 82 Votes)

Washington fires head coach Jimmy Lake. How do you think it will affect the CU/Washington game this weekend?
- It won't/shouldn't make any difference. It games like this, it comes down to who wants it more. It's senior day for the Buffs - hopefully they will want it more (67%, 187 Votes)
- It hurts the Buffs. Washington still has a bowl bid to play for, and now know their coach's fate. They will rally - and that hurts CU's chances (23%, 64 Votes)
- It helps the Buffs. The Huskies played inspired ball for their interim coach to open their game against ASU, but couldn't prevent the loss. Players will be distracted this week - that helps CU (10%, 30 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
