Travis Hunter named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. Thoughts?
- Not bad for someone who had five tackles, an interception, and one pass break up ... Big 12 really just recognizing Hunter's overall contribution to the game. I'll take it! (45%, 84 Votes)
- Indicative of how the rest of the world doesn't know how to deal with Hunter. Hope the Heisman trophy voters will also be able to recognize Hunter's overall contributions (28%, 52 Votes)
- Couldn't help but notice that Kansas State's Dylan Edwards was named the Big 12 Special Teams player of the week (punt return for a touchdown). Wouldn't have minded keeping Edwards on the roster (27%, 50 Votes)

CU opens as a 1.0-point favorite over Baylor. Thoughts?
- A 1.0-point margin means that, at a neutral site, Vegas would be picking the Bears to win. We'll see. It's definitely shaping up to be a close game ... fingers crossed for the Buffs (50%, 120 Votes)
- Looks like Vegas was watching the Georgia/Kentucky game, and didn't see how well the Buffs did against the Rams. Buffs, at home, against a team which went 3-9 last year and has an injured QB? CU wins (26%, 62 Votes)
- It's too much to assume that CU has fixed many, if any, of its major problems. CSU is a mediocre Mountain West team. I expect the Bears will be a much tougher opponent ... and likely winner (24%, 57 Votes)

Colorado 28, Colorado State 9. Thoughts?
- A very nice win. The Buff defense played well, finally getting some turnovers, with the offense doing well enough running and passing to take care of business (44%, 145 Votes)
- Glad to get win No. 2, but throwing the ball to Travis late (to get him to 100 yards) and with less than two minutes to play, doesn't sit well. Run out the clock - padding stats is not a good look (33%, 110 Votes)
- Best part? Putting CSU in the rear view mirror for the next five years. Still plenty of work to be done, but the definitive win will shut up (some) of the naysayers (for at least a week) (23%, 76 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for the Rocky Mountain Showdown - CU (-7.0) at CSU (5:30 p.m., MT, CBS)
- Another tough game for the Buff Nation and their ulcers. The Buffs will win, but they will make their fans wait until the fourth quarter to pull out another close victory (41%, 94 Votes)
- This is a get well game for the Buffs. There were reasons that everyone saw the Buffs as a borderline bowl team. The ship gets righted, and the Buffs pull away for a double-digit win (35%, 81 Votes)
- The Nebraska game showed that Coach Prime's second effort at building an offensive line from scratch is another bust. Another rival gets up for playing the Buffs, and takes them down. CSU wins (24%, 56 Votes)

Colorado State one of four teams joining the "Pac-12". Thoughts?
- Good for the Rams. Other than this week, I don't hate / don't pay attention to the Rams, so if they can take a (small) step up, then good for them (60%, 117 Votes)
- Anyone notice that, of the current "Pac-6" (CSU, Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Oregon State and Washington State), that CSU is the clear "No. 6" team? (25%, 48 Votes)
- Don't care, but don't like the timing. It would have been better if the rivalry had gone into its hiatus before the announcement. Now we have to hear about CSU's "big move" during the game (15%, 29 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
