The 2024 season marks the 30th anniversary of the record-setting 1994 team. Your memories?
- Like it was yesterday. The Miracle in Michigan, Rashaan Salaam's run to the Heisman, Coach Mac's surprise announcement, thumping Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl ... A memorable season! (84%, 218 Votes)
- Not really in my memory banks. Yes, I have seen Kordell Stewart's pass to beat Michigan, and Rashaan's 64-yard run to the Heisman, but I'm more of a 62-36 win over Nebraska guy (13%, 34 Votes)
- Way before my time. Happy for Buff fans who got to live with CU being a dominant team, but I am too young for these games to be anything stories from CU's storied past (3%, 7 Votes)

North Dakota State to start three red-shirt freshman on its offensive line. Thoughts?
- Probably too deep a dive for my taste. Let's just strap on the helmets and play some football. Either the Buffs are ready to play (and dominate) or they're not ... time to find out! (71%, 170 Votes)
- Well, one's a redshirt sophomore who hasn't played, but I get the idea. CU's defensive line will have a field day ... and I'm looking forward to watching the carnage (15%, 36 Votes)
- The two offensive tackles do have plenty of starting experience, so it will be up to CU's interior line to make NDSU pay ... and I'm not convinced CU can take advantage (14%, 33 Votes)

What is the biggest matchup issue concerning you as the North Dakota State game approaches?
- North Dakota's experienced defensive line v. CU's revamped offensive line. Can the CU offensive line protect Shedeur, and create holes for the running game? Fingers crossed (48%, 127 Votes)
- North Dakota State rushing for over 230 yards per game and having a rushing quarterback. Can the improved Buff defensive line keep the NDSU offense from controlling the ball (and the game)? (32%, 85 Votes)
- Honestly, I'm not worried about any of the matchups. Coach Prime has created a lineup which will challenge the best teams in the Big 12. NDSU is a good FCS team, but the Buffs will dominate (20%, 53 Votes)

Coach Prime: “Last year we understood that we did instill pretty much a lot of hope. It’s time for expectation”. Thoughts?
- I'm just getting a real positive vibe from Coach Prime right now. From the Denver practice to the Kickoff event to the Saturday press conference. He sounds loose and confident ... fingers crossed! (40%, 66 Votes)
- Love it! That's the way the players - and CU fans - should look at this season. Last August, we didn't know what to expect ... now we can expect wins! (37%, 61 Votes)
- Expectations are certainly there, but what are they? To compete for the Big 12 title? To get over 5.5 wins and get to a bowl? Define your terms (23%, 36 Votes)
Start Date: August 24, 2024 @ 4:09 pm

Which latest slam on the CU program to you is the most irritating?
- CBS Dennis Dodd (on picking CU to finish 16th in the Big 12): "Coach Prime owned September last season before reality kicked in. I'm thinking twice about climbing on the Deion hype train again" (54%, 76 Votes)
- CBS Jerry Palm's "bold prediction": "After another mediocre season, the Deion Sanders honeymoon -- if there still is one -- will be over. His seat will be on fire at the beginning of 2025" (33%, 47 Votes)
- Wilner mockingly "quoting" Coach Prime on Wilner's coaching "heat index": "We respect the heat index. But we aren’t doing anything with the heat index. Next category" (13%, 19 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
