Which news from Sunday would you rate as the most impressive?
- That the CU women's basketball team knocked off No. 1 Stanford in overtime - the first win over a No. 1 team in school history. Well done, Buffs! (58%, 209 Votes)
- That the CU men's basketball team is ranked No. 7 in the nation in the NET Rankings (the rankings used to select teams for the NCAA tournament). Highest ranking in school history! (18%, 63 Votes)
- That CU received a commitment from a former five-star safety/outside linebacker from Oklahoma (with two years of eligibility, no less) (16%, 56 Votes)
- That the football team was ranked No. 30 in the final CBS rankings. A nice tribute for the Buffs (especially with Nebraska at 78, Michigan State at No. 90, and CSU at No. 110) (8%, 30 Votes)

Colorado defeats Stanford, 77-64, to finish off a 3-0 week. Thoughts?
- A very solid team win. Buffs broke away late in the first half, and didn't allow the Cardinal within eight the rest of the way. Welcome to the Top 25 (on Monday), plus some national recognition! (49%, 144 Votes)
- Four players in double figures, but none higher than McKinley Wright's 14. This may be the best TEAM Tad Boyle has ever assembled. Excited about the future of Buffs' basketball (32%, 93 Votes)
- Hard to find much to complain about, but ... CU has been good in mid-season under Tad Boyle in the past, but faltered down the stretch. Fingers crossed that this season will be different (19%, 55 Votes)

Defensive lineman Mustafa Johnson declares for the NFL Draft. Thoughts?
- Good for him. He was a senior this year, and, after seeing what happened to Landman, "I don’t want to risk injury for another year" rings true (62%, 173 Votes)
- Wonder when Coach Dorrell said that Johnson was returning, if he knew that he really wasn't ... or if this is a sign (with other defections) that the coaching staff is losing the players (20%, 55 Votes)
- A tough week for CU and its fans. Nixon, Rakestraw, Mangham and now Johnson (not to mention the lost coaches). This is all getting a little hard for me to take! Some good news soon, please! (18%, 52 Votes)

Running back Jaren Mangham and safety Derrion Rakestraw join K.D. Nixon in the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- I can see Mangham, as the running back room is loaded, but Rakestraw was a starter, and would have projected to be a starter - a real loss (39%, 139 Votes)
- I understand that the Transfer Portal is here to stay. I just wish that CU would be more active in the receiving than the giving. Seems like CU is falling behind other Pac-12 schools in this race (31%, 110 Votes)
- Sounds like Karl Dorrell is cleaning out more than the coaches' room. Have to trust that Dorrell knows what he is doing, and will be making additions which will balance off the losses (30%, 109 Votes)
Start Date: January 14, 2021 @ 6:38 pm

Senior wide receiver K.D. Nixon enters Transfer Portal, will play a second senior season elsewhere. Thoughts?
- A win/win for both parties. K.D. can find a school where he can be a featured receiver, while CU can move on to younger (more talented) receivers without any guilt (67%, 266 Votes)
- Thanks to K.D. for his contribution (including the 96-yard touchdown against Nebraska!), but the fact is that he has been passed on the roster, and CU can use the extra scholarship (29%, 116 Votes)
- This is not turning out to be a good week for CU. First S&C Coach Drew Wilson; then DC Tyson Summers; now WR K.D. Nixon. Fixtures at CU, all. Sign of a fissure between the old guard and the new? (4%, 14 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
