Which of the following CU roster revelations gives you the greatest cause for concern?
- That the Buffs will be starting a true freshmen, Christian Gonzalez, at cornerback against a three-year starter at quarterback with a speedy receiving corps (43%, 128 Votes)
- That Jarek Broussard, with zero career carries, is starting ahead of Alex Fontenot (injured) and Jaren Mangham (441 rushing yards in 2019) (33%, 99 Votes)
- That CU is starting two sophomores along the right side of the offensive line (Casey Roddick and Frank Fillip) who have a grand total of four career starts between them (24%, 69 Votes)

As the 2020 football season is (finally) here. What is your prediction for CU's record?
- 3-4 ... There are at least four opportunities for wins, including this weekend against UCLA. I can see the Buffs picking up at least three wins along the way (34%, 109 Votes)
- 2-5 ... It's a great unknown until the season starts, but the 2019 Buffs had a better record than UCLA, Arizona and Stanford. There should be at least two wins there (or one win and a Game Seven win) (26%, 84 Votes)
- 4-3 ... With a bowl bid. I can see wins over UCLA, Stanford, Arizona, and an upset over either Arizona State or Utah, or a win over a North Division team in the finale (25%, 79 Votes)
- 1-6 or 0-7 ... While they won't admit it, this coaching staff doesn't have the roster to compete, and it will take several years before they will be able to do so (15%, 47 Votes)

Which of the following stats about senior quarterback Sam Noyer gives you the most pause?
- That Noyer's most extensive action was a blowout loss to Washington State, completing 7-of-18 passes for 53 yards ... and that was three years ago (57%, 98 Votes)
- That Noyer had seemingly found himself a home in a position of need (at safety), but still left his team of four years with the idea of transferring to another school (27%, 46 Votes)
- When Noyer was recruited by CU, he had a grand total of three scholarship offers ... One from a Power-Five school (CU), one from a G-5 school (Wyoming) and one from an FCS school (Eastern Washington) (16%, 29 Votes)
Start Date: October 31, 2020 @ 4:55 pm

Head coach Karl Dorrell names senior Sam Noyer as the starting quarterback. Thoughts?
- As they say, you have to trust the guys in the room. OC Darrin Chiaverini has his future on the line with this choice, so I'm trusting that the coaches feel Noyer gives CU the best chance at victory (67%, 182 Votes)
- Not a fan. It feels like the coaching staff is not looking at this season as a season which counts. Start Noyer, plug in Lytle here and there ... doesn't sound like a plan for winning Pac-12 games (21%, 57 Votes)
- I like it. Noyer is a senior, has collegiate experience both at quarterback and at safety, so he understands the game on both sides of the ball. Congratulations, Sam! (12%, 33 Votes)
Start Date: October 30, 2020 @ 2:59 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Washington, Utah and Washington State have QB battles, but are not announcing their starters. Should CU have followed suit?
- I don't care one way or another ... as long as the decision is made this week. The No. 1 QB needs to get as many reps as possible in this shortened run up to the season (67%, 138 Votes)
- Yes. As Herm Edwards says, "You're playing to win the game". Any advantage, even a slight one, should be taken. Keeping the first game opponent guessing makes sense (21%, 43 Votes)
- No. This is simple gamesmanship. The UCLA coaches have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the Buffs in Game One (running game, short passes), no matter who is QB. Go ahead and announce (12%, 26 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
