CBS Sports ranks CU 109th in the nation (out of 127 teams). Thoughts?
- I just hope that the coaching staff will be able to find a way to use these types of predictions to motivate the team to defy the critics (47%, 122 Votes)
- Absurd. Especially when you consider that CU is ranked well below the three Pac-12 teams which finished 4-8 last season (and even below CSU?!?) (38%, 98 Votes)
- About right, actually. We tend to forget CU was 100th in scoring offense and 96th in scoring defense last year - and lost a head coach and the two best offensive players (15%, 39 Votes)

Rate your opinion as to the status of the CU offense ...
- Realistic ... Lest we forget, CU was 83rd in total offense and 100th in scoring offense last year. Any sort of improvement will be welcome (69%, 175 Votes)
- Optimistic ... There is a great deal of young talent on the roster, and I have confidence that Karl Dorrell and Darrin Chiaverini will take advantage of their second shot (18%, 45 Votes)
- Pessimistic ... It's impossible to ignore the realities of 2020, with a new QB, no Viska, and no spring practices. I'm afraid that CU's offense is going to struggle (13%, 33 Votes)

Which post-scrimmage quote from CU head coach Karl Dorrell do you like the best?
- "Our first and second teams are really, really close in terms of there’s really not much of a drop-off in those areas" (60%, 98 Votes)
- "I thought they did a nice job with the operation of the offense, all three of the quarterbacks. So, I was really, really pleased with that" (25%, 40 Votes)
- "We had some nice plays. There are a lot of guys that had some nice runs, great tackles, being in the right place. It was really good to see" (15%, 24 Votes)

The NCAA grants winter sports participants an extra year of eligibility. Thoughts?
- Let's see if the Buffs make the Dance, then see if Maddox Daniels, D'Shawn Schwartz, Alex Strating and/or Dallas Walton even want to come back (67%, 87 Votes)
- This is great news for Tad Boyle and the Buffs. McKinley Wright will be gone, but CU has four other seniors who can come back and contribute in 2021-22 (29%, 38 Votes)
- This is bad news for Tad Boyle and the Buffs. The 2021-22 roster will include some talented new freshmen, expecting their chance to play. It's going to be tough for Boyle to keep the roster happy (4%, 5 Votes)

CU listed as a six-point underdog to UCLA in the November 7th opener. Thoughts?
- I'm not confident in anything in this unusual season, but CU has beaten UCLA the last two times the teams played in Boulder, so my fingers are crossed the Buffs can make it three straight (42%, 92 Votes)
- It sounds about right. CU has a new head coach, no QB with any starting experience, and no home field advantage to speak of. Dorrell will have to win a game or two before getting national respect (39%, 84 Votes)
- Take the bet! The line seems to be set based upon the color of the uniforms, not on facts. UCLA has posted four straight losing seasons (4-8 last year). Go Buffs! (19%, 42 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
