CBS Sports Big 12 Post-Spring Power Rankings has CU in at No. 11. Thoughts?
- Buckle up, Buff fans. It's going to be a long few months, with preseason magazine after preseason magazine predicting a bottom half finish for the Buffs (43%, 88 Votes)
- Way too low. I know that the national media narrative is that CU has just replaced one set of mediocre transfers with another, but that's not objectively true. Buffs in the Top Five of the Big 12! (31%, 63 Votes)
- Probably about right, if we're being honest. The Buffs are coming off of a 4-8 season, and has a great deal to prove before they can expect better rankings (26%, 52 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from linebacker Johnny Chaney from Florida A&M. Thoughts?
- I like seeing how Coach Prime and the coaching staff have been targeting needs. First the offensive line, then the defensive line, now the linebackers. Lineup keeps getting better and better every day (51%, 98 Votes)
- An FCS linebacker with no FBS offers out of high school or as a transfer. Chaney helps fill a position of need, but Mr. Chaney sounds like a backup at best (34%, 66 Votes)
- This is what we've looking for ... CU's weakest unit coming out of the spring was the inside linebacker room, and CU has picked up two good backers since then. Well done, coaches! (15%, 30 Votes)

Which of the following early betting lines for CU games to you is the most surprising?
- CU at Nebraska ... CU a 6.5-point underdog. Yes, the game is in Lincoln, but would you rather have a top NFL draft pick as your QB, or a freshman making his second start? Make it four in a row, Buffs! (60%, 120 Votes)
- CU at Colorado State ... CU an 8.0-point favorite. What is more telling? That CU is more than a TD favorite on the road, or that Vegas thinks more of ND State than it does of CSU? (26%, 52 Votes)
- North Dakota State at Colorado ... CU a 7.0-point favorite. The Bison are a good FCS team, but the Buffs will be ready. I foresee a big Buff win on August 29th to open the season (14%, 27 Votes)
Start Date: May 7, 2024 @ 4:24 pm

CU receives a commitment from Furman defensive back Ivan Yates. Thoughts?
- Another "In Prime We Trust" commitment. Coach Prime knows what it takes to be a high-level cornerback, and likes what he sees in Mr. Yates. Shrug of shoulders, and hope for the best (64%, 126 Votes)
- Ummm ... Yates had no Power Five ratings out of high school, and isn't even rated as a Transfer now. Does this mean we are done with any hope of a quality transfer coming to Boulder? (20%, 40 Votes)
- A speedy Paladin with four years experience - but still with two years of eligibility remaining. Sounds like a good pickup to me. Welcome to The Herd, Mr. Yates! (16%, 31 Votes)
Start Date: May 6, 2024 @ 4:13 pm

Who won the week in the social media battle over CU's unique Transfer Portal policy?
- No one. The Athletic story was just another in a long series of critical articles about Coach Prime and his methods. If Coach Prime and the Buff Nation would have just looked at the numbers ... (58%, 98 Votes)
- The critics. The story about CU losing players wasn't new, and quotes from a disgruntled cut player are nothing new ... Coach Prime and Shedeur should have left this one alone (24%, 41 Votes)
- Coach Prime. He went after the haters, and properly defended his son on social media. CU was once again in the national limelight, with more publicity for CU and Coach Prime (18%, 30 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
