Which of the following Big 12 CU road games would you rate as the "easiest"?
- At UCF (Sept. 28th) ... The Knights are coming off of a losing season, and will be pointing towards their game against Florida the following week. Buffs win in the sun of Orlando (47%, 74 Votes)
- At Texas Tech (Nov. 9th) ... The Buffs will have a bye week before the game against the Red Raiders, and Texas Tech has plenty of question marks heading into the season (45%, 71 Votes)
- At Kansas (Nov. 23rd) ... Technically not even a road game, as the Buffs will face the Jayhawks in Arrowhead Stadium. A strong CU contingent will mitigate the home field advantage (8%, 12 Votes)

Will it be a mistake for Travis Hunter to play both ways this fall?
- Hard to say, but from a purely selfish standpoint, I'd like to see Hunter on the field as much as possible. If CU is to go bowling, the Buffs need Hunter to shine (68%, 129 Votes)
- Absolutely not. Who says that Hunter can't play both ways in the NFL? Oh, and what a marketing bonanza it will be for the NFL team who drafts him (24%, 45 Votes)
- Possibly. Hunter could hamper his development at his ultimate position ... And what if he gets hurt again? The second-guessers will be out in full voice (8%, 16 Votes)

Which of the following games to you should be rated as the "easiest" early game for CU?
- Baylor ... The first home Big 12 game. The Bears went 3-9 last year, and head coach Dave Aranda is on the hot seat. The Buffs will look to impress the Homecoming crowd, and take out the Bears (40%, 57 Votes)
- North Dakota State ... CU a 7.0-point favorite. The Bison are a good FCS team, but the Buffs will be ready. I foresee a big Buff win on August 29th (31%, 44 Votes)
- at Colorado State ... Yes, it's a road game, but the Rams have little going for them, the Buff Nation will turn it into a home game, and Travis Hunter will have a great (revenge) game (29%, 42 Votes)

CSU head coach Jay Norvell on CU game: "It’s going to be the biggest sporting event we’ve ever had here in Fort Collins". Thoughts?
- I'm taking all this as a compliment to CU and Coach Prime. All three non-conference opponents - North Dakota State, Nebraska, and CSU - are all looking at their CU game as their Super Bowl (68%, 89 Votes)
- Yes, mainly because the last time CU came to Ft. Collins, the stadium was way out of town. With the game near campus, the atmosphere will be electric (oh, and there will be thousands of CU fans there) (21%, 27 Votes)
- Two teams with one bowl game between them since 2017 (CU in 2020). Norvell's statement pretty much an indictment of how far CSU has fallen off the national radar (11%, 15 Votes)
Start Date: June 20, 2024 @ 8:05 pm

The College Football News rates ten of CU's 12 fall games as "50/50" games. Thoughts?
- Just goes to show that: a) no one knows what to make of the CU roster; and b) the Big 12 is wide open. I'd agree with both assessments - which is what will make this fall so exciting (58%, 93 Votes)
- What that says to me is CU's season will be more about coaching than it is about talent ... Can CU's NFL-heavy staff find a way to compete in the Big 12? We're about to find out (31%, 49 Votes)
- CFN only has Cincinnati as a "likely win". If they had put North Dakota State, CSU and Baylor in that category, I might have bought in to the rest of the narrative (11%, 18 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
