The College Football Playoff Committee is discussing going to a 14- team or 16-team playoff in 2026. Thoughts?
- Let's stop pretending that any of this is allowing equal access. Let the SEC and Big Ten form their own league, and let the rest of the country play football again (44%, 75 Votes)
- I am not a fan. Yes, the SEC and the Big Ten have plenty of quality teams, but guaranteeing the fourth-place team a spot? So much for the regular season meaning anything (35%, 60 Votes)
- I like it, especially if the Big Ten and SEC are going to demand three or four guaranteed slots. If the Big 12 is going to get more than the conference winner in, there needs to be more teams playing (21%, 37 Votes)

Where do you think the CU running back room rates amongst its peers in the Big 12?
- The Middle Third. There is some talent there, but it is talent which has yet to fully prove itself over a season in Boulder. Optimistic about the future, but not ready to give the room elite status (59%, 132 Votes)
- The Bottom Third. CU had a rushing attack which was dead last in the entire country. Hopefully the line is better, and hopefully McCaskill is healthy. "Hopefully" doesn't merit a higher rating (23%, 51 Votes)
- The Top Third. Alton McCaskill is a 1,000-yard rusher and is finally healthy, and Dylan Edwards has proven he can score four touchdowns a game against Big 12 competition (18%, 39 Votes)

CU assistant coach salary pool reaches a record $4.65 million. Thoughts?
- I'm more interested in whether all those checks will produce quality results. $4.59 million bought CU a 4-8 record. What will $4.65 million get us? Hoping for the best ... (55%, 102 Votes)
- Good news. Glad that CU is understanding that you have to keep up with the Jones in paying for quality assistant coaches. Glad Coach Prime has got the staff he wants (27%, 51 Votes)
- Not really news. The $4.65 million is a new record, but it was $4.59 million last year, so you can't really see this as much of an upgrade. And still not happy about the Shurmur/Livingston combo (18%, 33 Votes)

CBS Sports Bracketologist Jerry Palm has the Buffs as the last team into the field of 68. Thoughts?
- Let's see. The Buffs finish the home slate with games against Utah (another bubble team), Stanford and Cal. Win those three games, and we'll start talking about being a bubble team (69%, 118 Votes)
- Not news. With the Buffs likely to lose a few games over the last five regular games, any hope of an NCAA tournament has already come and gone (16%, 27 Votes)
- Good news. I thought that with the recent losses, and with few opportunities to post impressive wins left on the calendar, that it was Pac-12 title or bust for the Buffs (15%, 27 Votes)

What do you make of the 2022-23 CU men's basketball season to date (16-9, 7-7)?
- It's cause for concern heading into the final month of the season, but, if the team can stay healthy, there is still a chance at an NCAA tournament bid (and even a win or two once there) (67%, 4 Votes)
- It's an indictment of Coach Boyle and his inability to produce anything more than mediocre teams. Three potential NBA Draft picks ... and another year in the NIT (17%, 1 Votes)
- It's a reflection of how spoiled CU fans have become. Tad Boyle owns nine of CU's 13 all-time 20-win seasons (soon to be 10-of-14). Better the devil you know (16%, 1 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
