CU men pick up first true road win over Washington, jump back into the field as a No. 10 seed. Thoughts?
- Liking it. CU is heading into the weekend a half-game out of first place, and on a four-game winning streak. Everyone is healthy, and the Pac-12 is there for the taking (45%, 67 Votes)
- We're only halfway through the conference schedule, and the Buffs still have to prove themselves on the road, and still have Arizona at home. Nice win in Seattle, but plenty of ball left to play (35%, 52 Votes)
- I'm actually more impressed that the CU women are a No. 1 seed (along with two other Pac-12 teams). A deep run in the tournament seems to be the Buffs' destiny this March (20%, 31 Votes)

Washington State and Oregon State agree to pay the West Coast Conference to give their non-revenue sports a home. Thoughts?
- Some schools are going to be left behind in realignment. WSU and OSU are just the latest dominos to fall. I just hope that CU is in a good position when the next round of realignment hits (41%, 71 Votes)
- Sad. Former Power Five athletes are going to play against WCC schools, with the university paying the conference for the privilege and not receiving any media rights revenue. Tough for WSU and OSU (41%, 71 Votes)
- It's a dog-eat-dog world, and the Cougars and Beavers were the weakest links in the Pac-12. It's not the job of the other schools to prop up schools which aren't nationally relevant (18%, 32 Votes)

CU remains without a defensive coordinator. Rate your level of concern.
- Low. There is nothing going on in the Champions Center right now which requires a defensive coordinator. Patience, people. CU needs to get this selection right, even if it takes extra time (55%, 145 Votes)
- Medium. We've been told that the new defensive coordinator will be coming from the NFL. Well, we're down to four teams still playing ... is there an NFL candidate still out there? (32%, 84 Votes)
- High. Has the bloom fallen off the Coach Prime rose? Are prospective defensive coordinators concerned about the future of the CU program, and staying away from Boulder? (13%, 37 Votes)

While the CU women are fighting for a No. 1 seed in March Madness, Tad Boyle's Buffs (14-5, 5-3) are a bubble team. Will the Buffs make the tournament?
- Still to be determined. If CU plays as well as they did this past weekend against the Oregon schools this upcoming weekend against the Washington schools, I'll be a believer (51%, 121 Votes)
- Yes. The Buffs have a number of quality (Quad 1) wins, and are getting better now that they are healthy. CU's position in the bracket will only approve with time (31%, 72 Votes)
- No. The Buffs are winless in true road games, and five of the next seven games are on the road. I'm seeing the Buffs sliding out of the tournament discussion (18%, 43 Votes)

Offensive lineman Jack Wilty becomes the fourth 2023 offensive lineman to enter the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- Wilty graded 35.6 on Pro Football Focus, worst among the CU offensive and defensive players with more than 19 snaps last fall. He had a 13.2 grade on 102 pass plays on PFF. Addition by subtraction (53%, 141 Votes)
- Makes sense. Wilty was only a part-time player (146 snaps over six games) on a unit which was one of the worst in Power Five football. Doubtful he would have seen playing time in 2024 (40%, 107 Votes)
- While I wasn't a fan of the '23 O-line, losing Wilty, Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, Van Wells and Jeremiah McCrimmon is not a good sign. CU needs some continuity (and depth) in the line (7%, 17 Votes)

Stuart:
I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
