CU receives a commitment from graduate transfer tight end Sam Hart (two years of eligibility remaing). Thoughts?
- Where the Buffs are now, they need to take some flyers on potential stars. Hart will have plenty to prove, and plenty to play for coming home to Colorado to play. Worth the risk to bring him in (54%, 126 Votes)
- Nice to get a new tight end, but let's be realistic. Hart was with Ohio State for three years, with a grand total of 35 snaps and no catches. Much for Mr. Hart to prove (24%, 56 Votes)
- A former four-star recruit with two dozen Power Five offers out of high school? And in a position of dire need? And a local boy (Aurora)? ove it. Welcome, Mr. Hart! (22%, 53 Votes)

Payout for 14-team playoff amounts agreed to, with the Big 12 receiving the smallest payout. Thoughts?
- Remember this is just the payout for the College Football Playoff. Add in huge difference in regular season media payouts .... and it's clear that the end of any sense of parity is upon us (77%, 120 Votes)
- It's not the difference between the ACC ($13-$14 million per school) and the Big 12 ($12 million), it's the discrepancy between the Big 12 and the SEC/Big Ten ($22 million per school) (15%, 23 Votes)
- Makes sense. The Big 12 has produced the smallest number of playoff teams, so gets the smallest payout. At least there is a clause allowing for bigger payouts with improved performance (8%, 13 Votes)

Jon Wilner picks Colorado to win the Pac-12 tournament. Chances of that happening?
- Medium. Avoiding Arizona until the title game (assuming both teams make it that far) definitely makes this a realistic possibility. I don't want to jinx anything, but I am hopeful (57%, 130 Votes)
- Low. The Buffs have been on a roll of late, but we are still talking about the Buffs. I just hope that CU gets past Utah/ASU, and gets the Buffs off of the bubble and into the "locked" category (37%, 84 Votes)
- High. No team in the Pac-12 is playing as well as the Buffs right now. With a bye and with CU being on the opposite side of the bracket from Arizona ... Yeah, it could happen! (6%, 13 Votes)

ESPN announces it will air four Big 12 Spring games (West Virginia; Baylor; Houston; Texas Tech), but not Colorado. Thoughts?
- I'm just waiting to see what CU has in mind. Coach Prime and CU have hinted at plenty of add-ons, including a concert. Guess we'll have to wait for Fox to announce its coverage of the game (61%, 119 Votes)
- Makes some sense, actually. Coach Prime was a cultural phenomenon last year, but returning to CU's glorified scrimmage for a second year would be overkill. Plenty of time to showcase CU this fall (28%, 54 Votes)
- Hard to understand. ESPN knows what Coach Prime brings to the table in terms of ratings, so to take on lesser Big 12 programs but not CU ... not getting the logic (11%, 22 Votes)

On February 19th, after CU beat USC, CBS Sports had the Buffs as the last team into the field as an 11th-seed. Five wins later, CU is still an 11-seed. Thoughts?
- Just goes to show that the Buffs still have work to do. A win over Utah/Arizona State on Thursday should punch their ticket to the Dance. Until then ... we'll have to wait and hope (61%, 122 Votes)
- Just another indication that there is a media bias against Colorado. Had the Buffs lost any of the last five games (like say, Utah did), the Buffs would be out of the running (25%, 49 Votes)
- Surprised, actually. There is no team in the Pac-12 playing better than the Buffs. If it wasn't for the Pac-12 being down this year, the Buffs would be solidly in the field by now (14%, 28 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
