A settlement on the House case might be made public this week. Rate your interest in the story
- Low. There are still so many moving pieces, that any leaks about a settlement are premature at best. Call me when the dust settles ... in another year or two (48%, 55 Votes)
- Medium. A $2.7 billion settlement? A $20-$30 million buyout per school every year for ten years? Employed athletes? Important, but still so much to sort out (32%, 36 Votes)
- High. It's not an exaggeration to say that the future of college football hangs in the balance over the next month or so. This story is worth monitoring on a daily basis (20%, 23 Votes)

CU loses a commitment from Miami (Ohio) running back transfer Rashad Amos. Thoughts?
- If this isn't a great example of how the NCAA's abdication has hurt the sport. Amos went from Miami to Mississippi State to CU to Ole Miss in five months ... crazy world we live in now (52%, 120 Votes)
- You can't miss what you never had. Amos was a CU commit for what, three weeks? This is the way the game is played now ... CU just lost out to a higher bidder (Ole Miss) (31%, 73 Votes)
- Pretty bad news. CU lost all five scholarship running backs from last year, and now Amos. The running back room is extremely thin. Anybody else missing Darian Hagan about now? (17%, 40 Votes)

Preseason Big 12 rankings consistently putting CU in the 10-12 range. Thoughts?
- The pundits don't follow CU as much as we do, so they don't understand this overhaul of the roster has resulted in serious upgrades. Ignore them for now, it's going to be a fun season (40%, 68 Votes)
- I'm just happy to see CU not picked to finish last in its conference for the first time in years. Baby steps, Buff Nation - Coach Prime is getting us there! (30%, 51 Votes)
- If we're being honest, it's about right. CU has had one winning season in the past 20 years, so Buff fans need to stop looking at their team through black-and-gold colored glasses (30%, 50 Votes)

Travis Hunter on the cover of the EA Sports with Quinn Ewers and Donovan Edwards. Thoughts?
- Love it! Glad to see Travis get the recognition, and glad to see CU (along with playoff teams Michigan and Texas) so prominently displayed in a widely anticipated game. Another good day to be a Buff! (83%, 130 Votes)
- If it were anyone but Travis, I would be worried whether he would live up to the hype associated with this kind of publicity ... but Travis will show that EA Sports made the right pick (13%, 20 Votes)
- Not to nitpick, but I'm not crazy about the picture itself, and I would have preferred to have Travis in traditional black-and-gold ... but it is what it is (4%, 7 Votes)

The Sporting News rates Coach Prime as the No. 12 head coach in the Big 12 (No. 59 in the nation). Thoughts?
- Just the latest in the "Coach Prime's methods aren't working" articles. Patience, Buff fans, August 29th will be here soon enough, and Coach Prime will take it from there (65%, 126 Votes)
- Sounds about right, actually. CU did better in 2023, but still finished 1-8 in Pac-12 play, just like the 2022 team. Losing by less is still losing, folks (28%, 54 Votes)
- A joke, right? Did TSN forget that Coach Prime won two conference titles at Jackson State, and cobbled together a 4-8 season out of a team which had been the worst in the nation in 2022? (7%, 15 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
