Which of the following quotes from offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini do you like best?
- "I really do have a good feel for this offensive roster. And I know what people’s strengths and people’s weaknesses are and we’re going to build it that way" (67%, 111 Votes)
- “We’ve had a lot of times to meet as an offense, go over installations, meet with our players ... I’m excited to get back to doing some football" (19%, 32 Votes)
- “Me and coach Dorrell have a really good relationship. Even though we’ve never coached together, I think there’s a trust factor there" (14%, 23 Votes)

Ten years ago, the University of Colorado accepted an invitation to join the Pac-12. Thoughts?
- Despite CU's performance on the field since joining the Pac-12, it was still a good move. CU is a much better fit in the Pac-12 than it ever was in the Big 12 (44%, 117 Votes)
- Still to be determined. Let's see what happens with the next round of media rights (and with the next few years with Karl Dorrell as head coach) (38%, 99 Votes)
- Not a fan. CU's historical reference came against Big 8 - and then Big 12 - foes. The excitement over the home-and-home with Nebraska tells you all you need to know (18%, 47 Votes)

Should schools isolate their teams/star players in order to try and mitigate exposure?
- Not sure, if it means that student-athletes are isolated. If the campus is safe for students, it's safe for student-athletes (48%, 76 Votes)
- Not sure, if it means that certain players (e.g., quarterbacks, star linebackers) get special treatment. Teams should treat their players equally - to do otherwise sends the wrong message (37%, 58 Votes)
- Makes sense. It's inevitable that there will be cases of COVID-19 - there have already been reports of positive tests at other schools - so taking steps to reduce potential cases makes good sense (15%, 23 Votes)

Which of following Karl Dorrell's Monday press conference quotes stands out most for you?
- "I think there is a sense of urgency that our players have kind of embraced of, 'Let's get ourselves ready to go.' We have to make up for a lot of time" (71%, 120 Votes)
- "The testing process (for COVID-19) will start this week ... I would say the bulk of the team (will be) here (next week) and ready to go" (17%, 29 Votes)
- "I think because of this pandemic everybody is in the same boat so it actually puts us on a level playing field, in my opinion" (12%, 19 Votes)

Athlon has six players on its (four-team deep) Preseason All-Pac-12 teams (tied for ninth in the conference). Thoughts?
- I was interested to see that both Arizona and UCLA had even fewer players listed ... an indication of how wide open the Pac-12 South is going to be ... take advantage, Buffs! (48%, 71 Votes)
- Sounds about right. When you have one bowl appearance in 12 years, you are not going to get much preseason love (especially with a new coach and no known quarterback) (34%, 51 Votes)
- All you need to know about anti-CU bias: Stanford, which went 4-8 last season, has 12 players on the list, double that of CU - another preseason ranking to ignore (18%, 26 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
