Which quote is closest to your position on the chances of football in the fall?
- Clemson's Dabo Swinney: "I have zero doubt that we're going to be playing and the stands are going to be packed" (35%, 66 Votes)
- Pat Rooney: "Can sports fans imagine a world without college football? It might be the stark reality of the new normal" (34%, 65 Votes)
- California Governor Gavin Newsom on NFL in September: "I'm not anticipating that happening in this state" (31%, 60 Votes)

Quarterback Sam Noyer announces his return to CU roster. Thoughts?
- Seems like a win/win. Noyer was going to have a hard time finding a new home without the ability to visit other schools, and CU needs an insurance policy in the quarterbacks room. Welcome back, Sam! (71%, 140 Votes)
- Not great news. Noyer left because he wasn't likely to see the playing field, and that hasn't changed. Oregon is getting a three-year starter from Boston College, while CU gets a third-stringer (17%, 33 Votes)
- Great news! CU only had two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, and one of those is a true freshman. Noyer brings leadership and institutional knowledge back to the quarterbacks room (12%, 23 Votes)

Which alternative football schedule - at least right now - to you has the most merit?
- A nine-game conference schedule. Eliminating the non-conference games buys players and teams some time, while still having a legitimate season (51%, 95 Votes)
- Have the season in the fall (with precautions). Classes can still be on line, with games played without fans. It would allow teams and conferences to recoup most of necessary funds (read: TV $$$) (25%, 46 Votes)
- Start the season in November, finish in March or April. We can still have a complete season in an academic year, adding a whole new meaning to "March Madness" (24%, 45 Votes)

Which of the following Rick George press conference quotes do you find the most interesting?
- "Tad and I have had a lot of conversations not just about (Boyle receiving post-season bonuses), but the future and some things that have gone on in his program" (60%, 92 Votes)
- "In a best case scenario, you're looking at June, July and August leading up to the football season (to conduct the practices usually held in spring)" (21%, 33 Votes)
- "(CU's loss in revenue) won't be as big as you might expect at this point, and next year how we budget will be real important" (19%, 29 Votes)

Tad Boyle: "I don't think Tyler Bey is coming back to school". Thoughts?
- Questionable move. No one knows when the NBA will be back in business. It would have made more sense for him to keep his options open and stay in school until he gets his NBA draft grades (66%, 145 Votes)
- Bad move by Bey. When teams look at his film, they will see a player who sometimes wasn't a full participant. Bey needed another year to hone his skills and improve his stock (22%, 48 Votes)
- Smart move by Bey. His NBA grade is going to be based on "potential", and the sooner he gets to the league, the sooner he can start cashing in on that potential (12%, 28 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
