Five months out from the start of the 2020 season, how would you rate the chances of the Buffs playing a full schedule this year?
- Medium. I'm not sure there will be enough time to get in a full schedule. Perhaps a reduced schedule (just conference games?) will be the end result (40%, 98 Votes)
- Low. The Olympics (July/August) has already been postponed. I can't see there being contact sports or large crowds being allowed in the foreseeable future ... and that includes this fall (34%, 83 Votes)
- High. There is still plenty of time to get in practices and play a full schedule this fall (26%, 62 Votes)

Which of the quotes from new defensive line coach Chris Wilson do you like best?
- "You can't have a cookie-cutter approach. Every player is unique. You have to have a good plan every week. This is what we do and this is how we do it." (50%, 105 Votes)
- "I think this (defensive line roster) is a talented group. We just have to get them pointed in the right direction and be able to win close games" (31%, 65 Votes)
- "There's a familiarity with knowing what this place is capable of (having coached at CU before). I feel good about what's in store for us" (19%, 38 Votes)
Start Date: March 24, 2020 @ 5:58 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Palmer Ridge athlete Kaden Dudley reopens his commitment. Initial thoughts?
- Not news, at least not yet. With recruiting on hold, and the staff unable to meet with prospects, we are just going to have to accept the new normal - few commits for the foreseeable future (64%, 176 Votes)
- Not unreasonable. Dudley committed to the last staff, and hasn't met the new one - he could still become a Buff! (30%, 82 Votes)
- One of the concerns about the new coaching staff was whether they can recruit as well as the previous staff. With Dudley's defection, CU is down to two recruits - not a good look (6%, 16 Votes)
Start Date: March 23, 2020 @ 6:02 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Which factoid about the 2001 Buff team to you is the most surprising?
- That the CU team which defeated Texas in the Big 12 title game was the same team which lost to the Longhorns 41-7 in the regular season (54%, 99 Votes)
- That the Buffs were coming off of a 3-8 season, but rebounded with a 10-3 season and a top ten ranking (34%, 63 Votes)
- That after a season-opening loss, local sports columnists were calling for the ouster of head coach Gary Barnett (12%, 21 Votes)
Start Date: March 22, 2020 @ 5:51 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Daylen Kountz and Jakub Dombek announcing that they are leaving CU, entering the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- The pair contributed only 3.8 points per game combined. If the Buffs are going to make another run at 20 games next season, the bench needs to be more productive. A case of addition by subtraction (52%, 106 Votes)
- Could be an opportunity for Tad Boyle and the Buffs, but with sports on hold, I'm not sure how CU is going to be able to fill these roster spots for the fall. Could be a short bench next year (27%, 55 Votes)
- Kountz was a star at Denver East. Never a good thing to have a local prep star decide to leave the program. Not good optics for a program reeling from a disappointing end to the season (21%, 42 Votes)
Start Date: March 21, 2020 @ 5:49 pm
End Date: No Expiry

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
