Of the first three "Top 40 of the Past 40" games, which would be your favorite?
- 2004: Colorado 26, Nebraska 20 ... Buffs win in Lincoln gives Cornhuskers first bowl-less season in 35 years (58%, 110 Votes)
- 1995: No. 4 Colorado 38, No. 10 Oklahoma 17 ... In his first career start, John Hessler throws for a school-record five touchdown passes (37%, 71 Votes)
- 2001: No. 20 Colorado 31, No. 25 Texas A&M 21 ... Joey Johnson fumble return late preserves win over the Aggies, with an "assist" from the late great Fred Casotti (5%, 9 Votes)

Which Karl Dorrell quote do you like the best?
- On seniors: "They want to win. They believe they should have won more last year and this is a year they don't want to take things for granted" (40%, 84 Votes)
- On off-season commitment: "That's what it takes, doing extra work. It's all an educational moment. It's how you teach young guys. It's not two hours a day and you're done" (36%, 75 Votes)
- On assistant coach hires: "We had a lot of people β I mean a lot of people β very interested in working with me, which I was flattered by" (24%, 50 Votes)

CU spring practices, set to begin March 16th, have been postponed. Thoughts?
- This might actually work to CU's advantage in the long run. With practices and recruiting postponed, the new coaching staff will have a greater opportunity to prepare for practices and recruiting (63%, 149 Votes)
- A good and necessary move. Even though the Pac-12 left it up to individual schools as to whether to have practices, there was no option but to shut it down (27%, 65 Votes)
- We'll see how this plays out. CU was one of only three Pac-12 schools which hadn't opened practices - how will the conference make it up to those schools with fewer practices on the books? (10%, 23 Votes)

The cancellation of the NCAA basketball tournament ends CU's season. Thoughts?
- Sorry for the players - for the men who won't get a chance at redemption, and doubly sorry for the CU women's team, which would have been hosting WNIT games (46%, 136 Votes)
- Actually a good thing. The NCAA tournament would have led to another embarrassing loss to close out the season - or an even more embarrassing omission from March Madness altogether (34%, 102 Votes)
- Not to sound too cynical, but would it have been too much to ask that the games be canceled before the Buffs laid an egg against the Cougars? (20%, 59 Votes)

What do you make of the Buffs' five-game losing streak?
- An unforgivable, inexplicable and embarrassing collapse. I hate to say it, but perhaps CU can do better than Tad Boyle ... (41%, 97 Votes)
- Anyone else notice this is reminiscent of what Mike MacIntyre's teams did in November? Anyone else notice than CU hasn't won a game since Karl Dorrell was hired? Damn, it's tough to be a Buff (39%, 92 Votes)
- It's tough - the first time a Tad Boyle team has lost a first-round conference tournament game - but the Buffs will still likely make the NCAA tournament, and everyone starts 0-0 in the Big Dance (20%, 48 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? π
