Daylen Kountz and Jakub Dombek announcing that they are leaving CU, entering the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- The pair contributed only 3.8 points per game combined. If the Buffs are going to make another run at 20 games next season, the bench needs to be more productive. A case of addition by subtraction (52%, 106 Votes)
- Could be an opportunity for Tad Boyle and the Buffs, but with sports on hold, I'm not sure how CU is going to be able to fill these roster spots for the fall. Could be a short bench next year (27%, 55 Votes)
- Kountz was a star at Denver East. Never a good thing to have a local prep star decide to leave the program. Not good optics for a program reeling from a disappointing end to the season (21%, 42 Votes)

- "I know the history of Colorado. I know what it was in the glory years and I know what it can be" (28%, 54 Votes)
- "Part of the golden carrot of being a new coach is a clean slate ... This year, it's the best men who will be playing" (16%, 30 Votes)

What factoid about the 1990 national championship team would you consider to be the most surprising?
- That CU opened the season 1-1-1, fell to No. 20 in the AP poll, and was still able to make it all the way back to win the national championship (48%, 99 Votes)
- That CU's non-conference schedule consisted of No. 8 Tennessee; Stanford; No. 21 Illinois; No. 22 Texas; and No. 12 Washington - Damn! (33%, 68 Votes)
- That the Fifth-Down game against Missouri, involving the No. 12 team in the nation, was only broadcast by Denver television station KCNC (19%, 39 Votes)

Does Tad Boyle deserve his $105,000 contractual bonus for "participating in the first round" of the NCAA tournament?
- CU and Boyle should agree to take the $105,000 bonus ... and donate it to local charities assisting those affected by the crisis (46%, 135 Votes)
- Yes. Even with the late season slide, every bracketologist had CU in the Big Dance. Boyle earned the bonus, and should receive it (38%, 110 Votes)
- No. The contract says the bonus is for participating in the NCAA tournament. Reality is, the Buffs didn't "participate", and there was no guarantee that they would (16%, 46 Votes)

Which of the following Rick George quotes did you find most encouraging ...
- No student-athletes have tested positive: "We’re doing everything that we can to keep our student-athletes and staff at a low risk" (37%, 73 Votes)
- On Spring practices in May or June? "That’s a possibility and we certainly would push for that" (31%, 62 Votes)
- "We’ve got a good team and we’re focused on what’s best for our student-athletes, our staff and certainly our university" (32%, 62 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
