What is your "hope" for the Buffs this upcoming season?
- A six win season and a bowl berth. With a tough schedule and a thin roster, Buff fans need to be realistic about their expectations for 2022, and a bowl berth is a worthy - and achievable - goal (51%, 109 Votes)
- A competitive team. It's hard to see this team finding a way to six wins, but I am hopeful that the Buffs will be competitive in every game, and perhaps pull off a few upsets to give us hope for '23 (46%, 98 Votes)
- A Pac-12 South division title and a berth in the title game. You've got to believe in this coaching staff and this team. Buffs are undefeated until proven otherwise! (3%, 8 Votes)

Would Karl Dorrell still have a job at CU if the Buffs go 7-19 over the next three years (matching Scott Frost's 15-29 record at Nebraska)?
- Absolutely not. CU can't afford to wait for yet another coach to tread water for five years before being let go. Scott Frost won a national title for the Cornhuskers, so he has a long leash (41%, 61 Votes)
- Maybe. It depends on how things unfold. If CU's thin lineup is beset by injuries this year, and turns into a mess, but the team improves in 2023 and 2024, I can see Dorrell keeping his job (39%, 59 Votes)
- I doubt it ... but ... if four of those wins over the next three years are against Nebraska and Colorado State, he might just be able to stay in good enough graces to get a Year Six (20%, 30 Votes)

Proposal: Eliminate one free transfer rule in an effort to curb transfer for NIL money. Thoughts?
- It's a half measure at best. The real current issue is high school students being given inducements to attend schools. Until the NCAA creates rules to stop boosters from buying recruits, it's chaos (44%, 80 Votes)
- It would withstand a court challenge. The NCAA had a window create rules, but balked. The genie is out of the bottle, it isn't going back in. College football as we know it is gone (29%, 52 Votes)
- I like it. If players have to sit out a year, they will think twice about leaving their current school (and boosters would think twice about throwing money at a player who won't be on the field) (27%, 50 Votes)

Las Vegas sets CU's odds at winning the Pac-12 at 200:1 - Are you taking that bet?
- No, that would be a waste of money. CU was a 100:1 shot in 2016, had a much better team ... and still didn't win the Pac-12 title. No chance this roster has enough talent to make a run (48%, 80 Votes)
- Well, if an 80:1 longshot can win the Kentucky Derby, I guess anything is possible. I think CU's chances are as good as either ASU or UCLA, and their both 8.5:1 - so CU is at least a good value bet (39%, 65 Votes)
- Sure, it's worth a small wager to get a huge return. Every national pundit we've read underestimates CU, so why should Las Vegas be any different? Buffs have enough talent to make a run (13%, 20 Votes)

Jon Wilner on Pac-12 South division race: "CU is an easy pick for bottom of the division". Thoughts?
- As will be the case for CU all season, its up to the Buffs to show the pundits that they are wrong. The Buffs are a losing team which lost stars - that will remain true until proven otherwise (65%, 162 Votes)
- With the losses in the Transfer Portal, no NIL money to attract or retain talent, and no obvious All-Pac-12 candidates in the skill positions, Wilner's right. This is an easy call (18%, 45 Votes)
- Arizona went 1-11 last season (124th in scoring offense; 101st in scoring defense) and Arizona State is a dumpster fire, but sure, CU is an easy pick for last. Not seeing it (17%, 41 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
