Which of the following Transfer Portal numbers do you find to be the most eyebrow raising?
- That a total of 812 Power Five scholarship players entered the Transfer Portal this off-season, with only 39% finding new homes at other Power Five schools - with 28% unsigned (48%, 116 Votes)
- That four of CU's 2023 opponents are in the Top Ten nationally in transfers out (Arizona & Cal with 22; Oregon 21; and CSU 19). Last year, CU was on this list, which I'll take as a win (39%, 96 Votes)
- That ASU leads the nation with 20 Power Five transfers. CU is tied for seventh (with 12), but that doesn't include Power Five worthy transfers like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, so we're good (13%, 32 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from Coach Prime's most recent interview do you like the best?
- "We are trying to go get it right now ... (Those who say it takes a couple of years for a new coach to build a program): They're scared" (44%, 108 Votes)
- "Our coaches understand that the goal is to win. But goal is also to win their lives. It is also to win their trust and respect ... Winning comes in so many different packages" (30%, 73 Votes)
- "I never settle ... I never settle for mediocrity ... I don't know where the remote control for that is ... I'm committed. I can't stop" (26%, 63 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from Coach Prime's meeting with his assistant coaches do you like the best?
- On relationship with players: "You're not their friends, you're not their homies, you're not their dawgs, you're not their partners. I don't want to see you carrying on that way" (49%, 142 Votes)
- On interactions with recruits: "It starts with Relationships. Relationships lead to Respect, which leads to Responses, which lead to Results" (26%, 77 Votes)
- "Leaders fill their calendar by priorities; followers fill their calendars by requests. Leaders invest time; followers spend time" (25%, 72 Votes)

Jon Wilner has CU as the No. 9 team in his early preseason Pac-12 Power Rankings. Thoughts?
- About right. The first six teams on the list all won nine or more games, with 7-6 Washington State and 5-7 Arizona above CU. About as good as you expect at this point (51%, 152 Votes)
- Too low. I understand that it's hard to believe CU will be a player in the Pac-12 this season, but it's happening. Coach Prime is coming to win, and win now. The Buffs will finish in the top half (45%, 133 Votes)
- Too high. CU has a very steep hill to climb from the No. 131 team in country. CU may have advanced past Stanford and Arizona State at this point, but that's about it (4%, 13 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from five-star cornerback Cormani McClain. To you, what is the best part of the news?
- That this commitment will help convince other blue-chip prospects to come to CU. Next weekend is CU's "Elite Junior Day", and the Buffs are expecting some big time commits from the Class of 2024 (45%, 126 Votes)
- That Coach Prime can compete for and get the highest-rated recruits, with the McClain commitment solidifying CU's position as once again being a national player for recruits (37%, 105 Votes)
- That CU now has two lock down cornerbacks on the roster for 2023. While it doesn't guarantee a better defense, having two blue chip corners on the field will help mask deficiencies (18%, 50 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
