Which CU NFL Draft factoid to you was the most interesting?
- That CU is 28th in the nation in NFL first round picks, and is just three shy of being third in the Pac-12 in producing first-rounders (which would be behind only USC and UCLA) (50%, 72 Votes)
- That CU remains in the Top 25 (No. 23) in all-time NFL draft picks ... though it would be a shame if CU fell out of the Top 25 this weekend (28%, 40 Votes)
- That CU has had at least one player drafted in each of the past five drafts. I wouldn't have guessed that CU has been that consistent in producing NFL Draft-worthy players (22%, 32 Votes)

USA Today has three Pac-12 coaches on its list of ten national coaches on the "hot seat", including Karl Dorrell. Does Dorrell belong on the list?
- No. CU can't afford (literally and figuratively) to keep a revolving door in the head coaches room. Dorrell will be the coach through 2023 at a minimum. (52%, 150 Votes)
- TBD. It will come down to how competitive the team is in 2023. If the team picks up some wins, and plays hard, Dorrell will return. If the team gives up on the new coaching staff, it's over (34%, 98 Votes)
- Yes. You can't go 4-8, lose your top players to the Transfer Portal, then post another losing season and hope to keep your job (14%, 39 Votes)

Jon Wilner on CU's Transfer Portal in's and out's: "If the portal were a balance sheet, the Buffs would be staring at bankruptcy". Thoughts?
- A harsh statement, to be sure, but it's hard to deny. CU lost its top receiver, top running back, and three-fourths of its defensive backfield. Until proven otherwise, CU gets a failing grade (41%, 105 Votes)
- As with everything else for the 2022 Buffs, this falls into the "To Be Determined" category. CU's Transfer Portal ledger looks like a negative for now, but the roster has yet to be finalized (39%, 98 Votes)
- The next time Jon Wilner spends ten minutes actually doing research on CU's roster will be the first time. It's a clever use of words, but it's not based in reality (20%, 51 Votes)

Daily Camera's Pat Rooney on Spring Showcase: "It wasn't a JV game, but it was close". Thoughts?
- When you have walk-ons leading in rushing, receiving yards and tackles, it's hard not to look at the "Showcase" as a scrimmage which has little bearing on CU's future (at least let's hope so) (55%, 107 Votes)
- For anyone who also caught parts of the Utah, USC, or Oregon Spring games, the statement rings true. Others have enough players for a Spring Game. CU - annually - doesn't have enough bodies (25%, 48 Votes)
- You have to put it in context. As Rooney noted, CU was without Shrout, Fontenot, Lang, Penry, Brown, Lewis, etc. The team CU will field this fall wasn't on the field for the Spring Game (20%, 38 Votes)
Start Date: April 24, 2022 @ 4:54 pm

What would you consider to be the most encouraging outcome of the 2002 CU Spring Showcase?
- That there were few if any significant injuries during the spring game, or during the spring. CU will need all hands all deck this fall, so not losing anyone for the season is a plus (59%, 118 Votes)
- That Brendon Lewis looked more comfortable at quarterback, and with Shrout and Kopp as contenders for playing time, CU may finally have a quality QB room (29%, 58 Votes)
- That the defense basically controlled the scrimmage, even without several starters in the lineup. That bodes well for better defense in 2022 (12%, 25 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
