Washington State boosters put together a $90,000 package to lure an Incarnate Word quarterback to Pullman. Thoughts?
- The whole idea is sad/sickening. I can't believe that this won't come back to bite schools and players in the future. No good can come of this, and I hope it comes to an end sooner rather than later (67%, 122 Votes)
- Well, if that's the going rate, CU boosters had better figure out a way to get a collective in place ... or be satisfied with trying to develop two- and three-star prospects at QB (22%, 40 Votes)
- This is what NIL was supposed to be, with players taking advantage of their Name, Image and Likeness. Good for the QB, and good for the players across the country cashing in (11%, 21 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from senior wide receiver Jaylon Jackson do you like the most?
- On the new coaches on offense: "It has been mind blowing for me. I wish I could have been (with these coaches) two or three years ago" (66%, 118 Votes)
- On offensive coordinator Mike Sanford: "the best offensive mind I've ever seen in my life. I feel like a freshman again" (28%, 50 Votes)
- Of his senior season (after missing most of last season with a wrist injury): "Get the popcorn ready. I'm ready to put on a show" (6%, 10 Votes)

Which post-scrimmage Karl Dorrell quote to you was the most encouraging?
- "I'm excited about what (Daniel Arias') future's going to look like ... We had so many other pieces before. I just think it's his turn now to be at the top of the list" (52%, 66 Votes)
- That last drill there, when you're holding teams to field goals and get a last-second touchdown with an interception, you're playing pretty good defense" (31%, 39 Votes)
- "Jayle (Stacks) ran the ball well again today for the second scrimmage in a row and I thought Deion (Smith) ran the ball better today" (17%, 21 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from Arizona offensive tackle Luke Eckardt. Thoughts?
- Eckardt still has four years to play four. He got bigger (and presumably stronger and smarter) while at Arizona, and CU needs offensive line help. Not a glamourous pickup, but one which is needed (65%, 136 Votes)
- A solid pickup. Offensive line coach Kyle DeVan recruited Eckardt when he was at Arizona, so DeVan is already aware of what he's getting (19%, 39 Votes)
- Another recruit with exactly one other Power Five offer. This is a sad trend of Colorado football. I'm not sure it's sustainable to expect to win with recruits who are not highly recruited (16%, 35 Votes)

CU's seventh commitment - and first from the state of Colorado - comes from three-star tight end Andrew Metzer. Thoughts?
- One of the top 50 tight ends in the nation, and one of the top ten players out of Colorado overall? Not bad. Glad for an in-state commit, and a quality one at that (75%, 138 Votes)
- It may just be the current relative strength of the two programs, but it would seem that the two new commits to the basketball team are more exciting than the new football recruit (19%, 35 Votes)
- Once again, CU is apparently settling for a prospect with only a handful of Power Five offers. Are we sure that there isn't a quality tight end (with Power Five experience) out there in the Portal? (6%, 11 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
