- That Stanford, even with quarterback K.J. Costello back, is an eight-point underdog to Central Florida (32%, 107 Votes)
- That UCLA is ONLY a 23-point underdog to Oklahoma ... This could be a real rout in the Rose Bowl for the Sooners (31%, 106 Votes)
- That USC is only a four-point favorite against BYU, a team which lost, at home, to Utah, 30-12 (31%, 106 Votes)

Which of the following Tuesday press conference quotes do you like the best?

- Mel Tucker: “Its always interesting to see how the guys are going to come in on the Monday after any game, win, lose or draw. Yesterday I felt the sense of urgency that I was looking for" (41%, 149 Votes)

Which quote about the Buffs and the Nebraska game do you like the best?
- Pat Rooney: "It seems the Buffs have discovered a genuine leader in Tucker, and so far the Buffs have bought into his message of toughness - physically and especially mentally - without reservation" (44%, 181 Votes)
- Jon Wilner: The win was "momentous" because "it gives coach Mel Tucker a signature win — to energize constituents and impress recruits and further the buy-in from the current roster" (39%, 158 Votes)
- Stewart Mandel: "If Saturday was any indication, there could be some new blood (in the Pac-12 race), including those resilient Buffaloes" (17%, 68 Votes)

What halftime adjustments do you believe made the biggest difference in CU's comeback victory?
- The defense. The Buffs forced zero punts in the first half, but four in the third quarter, allowing the Buffs to get back into the game (66%, 296 Votes)
- The offense. The line protected Montez, the running attack went from 0 to 89 yards, and Montez found his playmakers in space (26%, 116 Votes)
- Neither. Actually, I think it was more of Scott Frost's arrogance, and lack of adjustments, which was the biggest factor in allowing the Buffs back into the game (8%, 39 Votes)

Colorado 34, No. 25 Nebraska 31, OT ... Thoughts?
- All I know is that it was a wonderful victory. And, for all those season ticket holders who sold their tickets to Nebraska fans, I have this to say .... (unprintable) (67%, 427 Votes)
- OMG!!! What a great game!!! Mel Tucker will be remembered forever for this game!!! (28%, 179 Votes)
- It was a great, but unlikely win. CU has a great deal of work to do if the Buffs are going to get into bowl position this fall (5%, 31 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
