Colorado faces Washington and Utah to close out the 2019 regular season. Thoughts?
  • The Buffs will already be bowl-eligible by the last two games, so these two games will be for bowl positioning (38%, 103 Votes)
  • If the Buffs are at five wins in mid-November, I'm afraid that, with the top two teams in the conference to end the schedule, the Buffs win end the season just short of a bowl bid ... again (34%, 93 Votes)
  • The Buffs may be at five wins in mid-November, but under the leadership of Mel Tucker & Co., the Buffs will break through the glass ceiling, and pick up win No. 6 (28%, 74 Votes)

  • "All of our receivers made plays today. Our quarterbacks looked sharp ... We've got lots of guys on offense that can make plays" (31%, 74 Votes)
  • On linebacker Nate Landman: "He was sideline to sideline today and on the inside, against our run game, he was stout ... He was a knock-back tackler today. That's what you want to have inside" (29%, 71 Votes)

CU adds three-star all-purpose back Stacy Sneed to the Recruiting Class of 2020. Thoughts?
  • Love it! A back with 1,600 all-purpose yards as a junior, and offers from the SEC, Big !2, Big Ten and Pac-12. Can't wait to see Mr. Sneed in the black-and-gold! (66%, 158 Votes)
  • Glad to have the commitment, but the Buffs are already loaded with young running backs. There are greater needs elsewhere on the roster, so I'm hoping Mr. Sneed is special (22%, 53 Votes)
  • Sorry, but it's two weeks before the first game of the Mel Tucker era. I'm dialed in on the season - I'll check on the Recruiting Class come December! (12%, 27 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
