Colorado defeats New Hampshire, 45-14. Your grade for the Buffs?
  • A B ... A solid performance overall, but there is still plenty for the Buffs to work on before UCLA comes to town (72%, 290 Votes)
  • A C ... A win is a win. But CU started 3-0 last season, and we know how that ended up. Buffs should have been more dominant (17%, 70 Votes)
  • An A ... 28-0 at half ... 45-14 final ... Buffs 3-0 in non-conference play. 'Nuff said (11%, 44 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for how CU's home opener against New Hampshire will unfold ...
  • Like the 2016 Idaho State game. Backups playing in the second quarter ... 49-0 at the half ... 56-7 final (57%, 189 Votes)
  • Like the 2018 Colorado State game. Strong to start but still contested (14-7) ... Comfortable at the half (28-10) ... Dominant second half (45-13 final) (27%, 89 Votes)
  • Like the 2017 Northern Colorado game. Ahead, but uncomfortable at the half (28-14) ... Concerned about over-confidence and sloppy play after the game (despite 41-21 final) (16%, 53 Votes)

CU's 19th commitment comes from four-star wide receiver Tarik Luckett. Thoughts?
  • Love it! A four-star commitment from a high-profile southern California school? Gimme!! (56%, 192 Votes)
  • Well, I'm sure it's a great pickup, but what's keeping CU from being a national player is a lack of talent and depth on both lines. Can we sign some four-star 300-pounders, please!! (31%, 104 Votes)
  • Like it. I'll never say "no, thanks" to a four-star prospect. Welcome, Mr. Luckett, to the Buff Nation. You have chosen wisely! (13%, 44 Votes)

The Pac-12 non-conference game which holds the most interest for me this weekend:
  • USC at Texas - Both teams have disappointed. Which fan base will be up in arms come Saturday night? (56%, 222 Votes)
  • Fresno State at UCLA - The Buffs' next opponent is in desperate need of a win. Time for a little advance scouting (23%, 93 Votes)
  • Arizona State at San Diego State - Are the Sun Devils for real? The Aztecs aren't as good as predicted, but will still provide a test (20%, 80 Votes)
  • Oregon State at Nevada - The Beavers are playing better - can they take out a mediocre G5 team on the road? (1%, 4 Votes)

Start Date: September 12, 2018 @ 6:15 pm

Colorado listed as a 35.5-point favorite over New Hampshire. Thoughts?
  • Sounds about right. I can see a final in the 45-10 range, so the spread is pretty spot on (58%, 210 Votes)
  • Too high. The Wildcats have been to the FCS playoffs 14 straight years. The Buffs should win comfortably, but New Hampshire won't roll over (36%, 132 Votes)
  • Too low. New Hampshire is struggling, and the Buffs are on a roll. CU will score early and often against the out-manned Wildcats (6%, 22 Votes)

Start Date: September 11, 2018 @ 6:23 pm
End Date: No Expiry

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
