No. 19 Colorado falls to USC, 31-20. Thoughts?
  • The Buffs said that they treated each week as a new season, and weren't getting ahead of themselves. I hope that holds true, and that the Buffs can (quickly) put this game behind them (54%, 207 Votes)
  • Should have been expected. USC is more talented, and coming off of a bye. I do appreciate the Buffs fighting to the end, with two late touchdowns (28%, 107 Votes)
  • I guess what the national pundits were saying is true. CU is not a very good football team - the Buffs were just lucky that their first five opponents were so easy (18%, 70 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for No. 19 at USC. Will the Buffs break their string of defeats at the hands of the Trojans?
  • Yes, it's time! Buffs are the better team, and will prove it Saturday. CU moves to 6-0, and claims the mantle of favorite in the Pac-12 South (64%, 203 Votes)
  • It's going to be close, with a play or two deciding the game one way or another. I can see the Buffs covering the spread (seven points), but still not winning (20%, 63 Votes)
  • I can't see it. At home, I would be more confident, but USC has talent at every position, and has had a week to prepare. The signs point toward a USC victory (16%, 51 Votes)

CU men's basketball picked by the media to finish 7th in the Pac-12 in 2018-19. Thoughts?
  • Too low. The media are underestimating the development of McKinley Wright and the impact of Evan Battey (45%, 115 Votes)
  • You're kidding, right? I won't be able to think about basketball until December at the earliest. I'm all football all the time until then! (28%, 72 Votes)
  • About right. CU finished 17-15 last year (8-10 in Pac-12 play), so a 7th-place projection is reasonable (27%, 69 Votes)

Does Laviska Shenault have a chance at the Heisman trophy?
  • No ... but if his numbers hold up, he could become the first Buff to win the Biletnikoff Award (65%, 243 Votes)
  • Yes. Leading the nation in receptions and receiving yards gets you invited to the Downtown Athletic Club - provided CU keeps winning and rising up the national rankings (21%, 79 Votes)
  • No. Wide receivers don't win the Heisman, and certainly not one from a CU team which is still not on the national radar (14%, 51 Votes)

Which Pac-12 game holds for you the most interest this weekend?
  • No. 7 Washington (5-1, 3-0) at No. 17 Oregon (4-1, 1-1). Is Washington the true leader of the Pac-12 North, or is Oregon primed to resume title of "Top Duck"? (62%, 234 Votes)
  • Arizona (3-3, 2-1) at Utah 3-2, 1-2). One of these teams will emerge as a Pac-12 South contender. Washington v. Oregon has national implications, but this game means more to CU (37%, 140 Votes)
  • UCLA (0-5, 0-2) at Cal (3-2, 0-2). Is this the week that Chip Kelly and his "Baby Bruins" break through? (1%, 4 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
