What is your biggest concern for the CU defense going forward?
- The secondary. While Aaron Maddox may not be out for the season, he is out, and his replacements are either young or inexperienced - or both. A scary proposition going forward (46%, 135 Votes)
- The defensive line was expected to be a liability, and it has been. Other than Mustafa Johnson, we hardly hear from any other player along the line (28%, 81 Votes)
- The linebackers were supposed to hold the unit together, but have been subpar. Nate Landman is getting double-digit tackles per game ... most 6-8 yards past the line of scrimmage (26%, 75 Votes)

What is your biggest concern for the CU offense going forward?
- Steven Montez is consistently inconsistent. Until or unless Montez plays a complete game, the Buffs will struggle (56%, 230 Votes)
- The play of the offensive line. The rushing attack is almost non-existent, and Montez is running for his life on pass plays. That's not a recipe for offensive success (36%, 147 Votes)
- The play calling. CU has the best player on the field in Laviska Shenault - he needs more touches. Oh, and BTW, whatever happened to using the tight ends in the offense? (8%, 36 Votes)

Air Force 30, Colorado 23, OT. Thoughts?
- It is what it is. The Buffs are a long ways from a title contender, and will have to fight and claw for every victory they get this year (69%, 306 Votes)
- This just in ... Air Force was the worst team CU will face this side of UCLA. Expect yet another long Pac-12 campaign ... and another losing season (18%, 80 Votes)
- I do appreciate the fact that, for the third straight game, the Buffs played better in the second half. Makes me optimistic about the Mel Tucker era going forward (13%, 59 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for the first CU/Air Force game in 45 years ...
- This will play out like the Nebraska game, with the Buff Nation nervous throughout, but second half adjustments again are the key, with the Buffs pulling away for a 7-10 point win (48%, 134 Votes)
- With all due respect to the Falcons, they haven't beaten a Power-Five school in years. It may be rough early, but this will be a blowout by the fourth quarter (30%, 83 Votes)
- The Falcons will be rested, prepared, and motivated. I'm very concerned about this game. If the Buffs win (and they may not) it will be a very close win at the end (22%, 61 Votes)
Start Date: September 13, 2019 @ 3:39 pm

Which pair of numbers gives you the most concern about the Air Force game?
- 118/98 ... as in Colorado is 118th in the nation in total defense (487.0 yards/game) and 98th in scoring defense (31.0 points/game) (50%, 154 Votes)
- 10/2 ... 10 as in Air Force has finished in the top ten nationally in rushing for 31 of the past 32 years, and 2, as in Air Force has had two weeks to prepare for this game (28%, 86 Votes)
- 3.0/4.5 ... as in the points the Buffs have been favored by for this game (started at 3.0; moved up to 4.5). Las Vegas is telling us that this will be a very close game (22%, 66 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
