CU's home game against Arizona State has been canceled. If you were CU athletic director Rick George, which option would you pursue?
  • Move up the USC game a week. and see if the Buffs can pick up another game for next weekend - perhaps even ASU if USC at Utah gets postponed this weekend (38%, 151 Votes)
  • Pick up a game against a North Division team, but only if they are willing to come to Boulder. Otherwise, CU would be facing four straight road games (37%, 148 Votes)
  • Do nothing. Leave the schedule as is, and perhaps pick up the ASU game in Week Seven. The Buffs would then, in essence, get a bye week to prepare for USC (25%, 99 Votes)

Colorado defeats Stanford, 35-32. Thoughts?
  • I don't care if it was pretty or not. A win is a win is a win ... and my Buffs - who NO ONE thought would win more than a game - are now 2-0! Love it! (67%, 316 Votes)
  • Another great team win! The defense was great in the first half; the offense was great in the second half. Well done, Buffs! (Perhaps GameDay will learn Broussard's first name now!) (22%, 104 Votes)
  • If the Buffs can't find a way to play defense in the second half, they are going to lose games. Glad to have the win, but good teams are going to embarrass CU's secondary in games to come (11%, 54 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at Stanford (1:30 p.m., MT, ESPN)
  • The six (now nine-point) line is a joke. The Buffs under Karl Dorrell play with a quiet confidence, and that will show this weekend. Buffs pick up upset No. 2 of the 2020 season! (44%, 107 Votes)
  • I'm just glad that there will actually be a game. With the ASU game doubtful and future games uncertain ... I'm just glad we get to see another game of CU football (43%, 104 Votes)
  • Stanford can run the ball and dominate time of possession. That's what CU wants to do, but Stanford's been doing it for years. Buffs keep it close, but Stanford gets the win (13%, 31 Votes)

Pac-12 preseason media men's basketball poll as CU as the No. 7 team in the conference. Thoughts?
  • Too low. The Buffs, with McKinley Wright coming back for his senior season, will make a run at a top four finish and a bye at the Pac-12 tournament (58%, 123 Votes)
  • About right. Even though the Buffs had a good season last year, they faded late, and will have to overcome the assumption that they will fade once again (26%, 54 Votes)
  • The Buffs are a bubble team. While even being that well regarded is a good sign if you look at CU's history, it's getting frustrating that Tad Boyle & Co. can't break through to elite status (16%, 34 Votes)

Start Date: November 12, 2020 @ 6:55 pm
End Date: No Expiry

What for you was the most "interesting" news from Wednesday?
  • That Tad Boyle signed four players for the Recruiting Class of 2020, a Class which is ranked in the Top 20 nationally by both Rivals and 247 Sports (63%, 168 Votes)
  • That due to cancellations of other games, the CU at Stanford game will be on ESPN (and, with no CBS game due to SEC postponements, could have a large audience) (31%, 83 Votes)
  • That instead of cutouts or advertisements, Stanford will have 470 trees ringing Stanford Stadium on Saturday. It should make for a very interesting (bizarre?) visual on Saturday (6%, 16 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
