CU currently has 31 new players for the 2023 roster. CU is allowed to have 85 scholarship players on its roster come August 1st. How many names on the roster will be new?
- 40-45. Coach Prime will settle on about half of the roster being turned over in his first year. There is still plenty of excitement to come, with another dozen or so transfers coming to Boulder (44%, 149 Votes)
- Over 45. Coach Prime wants to win, and he wants to win now. From his first speech to the team on Day One, he has been honest about the roster. Wholesale changes will continue through the spring (39%, 131 Votes)
- 35-40. There are still some additions to be made, but it will start slowing down now. Most of the roster (thankfully) has been upgraded. A few defensive linemen from now, we'll have our 2023 roster (17%, 55 Votes)

CU now has commitments from seven new wide receivers (including three four-star prospects). Thoughts?
- It's great that Coach Prime has been able to attract four-star skill position players, but I'm still concerned about the lines on both sides of the ball. CU still needs beef in order to compete (35%, 120 Votes)
- I just find it hard to believe that CU can pick up two four-star wide receivers on Christmas weekend ... and we're not shocked by the news! Coach Prime is certainly leading the Buffs into a new world (34%, 117 Votes)
- Love it! CU's new four-star quarterback now has a four-star running back and a bevy of highly-rated wide receivers. I can't wait for the Sean Lewis to take the field next September! (31%, 108 Votes)

What has been the greatest present given to the Buff Nation by Coach Prime this holiday season?
- Restoring confidence and a sense of pride in being a Buff fan. We have been down for so long, it was hard to remember being relevant in the nation conversation. No "relegation" for CU now! (51%, 161 Votes)
- The decision, whether made directly or indirectly, to update CU's transfer policy. Last year, CU's Transfer Class was rated 79th in the nation; this year 5th. Without the new policy, no Coach Prime (28%, 90 Votes)
- A roster which has already been upgraded to the point where Buff fans can realistically expect to compete in the Pac-12. Impossible to imagine that statement being true a month ago (21%, 67 Votes)
Start Date: December 24, 2022 @ 11:45 pm

Which unit on the team to you remains the greatest need from the Transfer Portal?
- Defensive line. Some beef and talent has been added, but with the ton (literally) of players added to the offensive line, the D-Line is now the greatest area of concern (80%, 315 Votes)
- Another quality quarterback. Keeping Straub in the fold on Signing Day was a plus, but CU's offense is an injury to Shedeur away from struggling. A quality (experienced) backup would be nice (13%, 51 Votes)
- The defensive backfield. Yes, picking up the No. 1 recruit in the nation is beyond fantastic, but Travis Hunter can only shut down his corner of the playing field. Quality help at safety would help (7%, 28 Votes)
Start Date: December 23, 2022 @ 6:25 pm
End Date: No Expiry
What to you is the best part about Travis Hunter's announcement that he is coming to CU?
- That the signing continues the momentum Coach Prime has generated. No one can downplay this (still not finished) recruiting Class. Coach Prime has legitimized CU football for recruits (and the media) (76%, 258 Votes)
- That for the first time in school history, CU has a commitment from a player ranked as the No. 1 overall recruit in the nation. Hard to believe it's true!! (12%, 42 Votes)
- That Hunter, while an accomplished wide receiver, comes to CU in a position of need. A lock down cornerback, against all of the returning talent at QB in the Pac-12? Welcome, Mr. Hunter!! (12%, 41 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
