Report: Pat Hill, a defensive analyst at LSU, to be hired as CU's defensive line coach. Thoughts?
- Perhaps Hill will be a great recruiter. LSU has a number of four-star recruits in the Transfer Portal - maybe Hill will bring some Louis Vuitton luggage of his own to Boulder (58%, 149 Votes)
- I'm hoping this works out, but Hill's resume is pretty thin. Coach Prime has hired some first rate coordinators, but some of the position coaches .... I have my concerns (21%, 54 Votes)
- Looks like a great hire. He has served as a defensive line coach and a strength and conditioning coach, and has spent last season at LSU. I like this hire! (21%, 53 Votes)

Which of the following current 247 Sports rankings - No. 2 in Transfer Portal; No. 23 Class overall - do you find to be most impressive?
- No. 2 in the Transfer Portal. CU was ranked No. 78 last year in the Portal, with a debilitating blow to the roster. Now, the roster has been dramatically upgraded by the Portal. Go Coach Prime! (52%, 188 Votes)
- No. 23 overall. CU hasn't been within shouting distance of the Top 25 nationally for some time. CU is picking up transfer talent to go with quality high school recruits. It's fun to be a Buff again! (37%, 133 Votes)
- Neither, if I'm being honest. CU has added 35 players to the roster - to date, no other team in the country has added more. It would be disappointing if CU wasn't ranked this high (11%, 40 Votes)

CU kicker Cole Becker announces he is entering the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
- We don't know what was going on behind the scenes, so I guess I'll just have to say this is a "I trust in Coach Prime" moment, and see how this plays out with Mr. Mata (51%, 178 Votes)
- This may be one of the first moves of Coach Prime I disagree with. Becker was a proven commodity, while Mata remains a work in progress. I don't see this as a net positive for the roster (32%, 112 Votes)
- The announcement comes just a few days after Jackson State Alejandro Mata joined the team ... I guess Cole wasn't up for the competition (or had already told coaches he wanted to move on) (17%, 59 Votes)

No. 10 USC falls in the last minute to No. 16 Tulane, 46-45, in the Cotton Bowl. Thoughts?
- Love it! An embarrassing loss for the University of Spoiled Children. All that talent (including CU's Rice & Blackmon) wasted as the Green Wave rallies for 16 points in the last four minutes (57%, 188 Votes)
- We'll see how this plays out. With USC running off to the Big Ten, and Tulane a potential candidate for expansion to the Power Five (perhaps even the Pac-12?), this may have been a big day for Tulane (25%, 82 Votes)
- Not pleased. The Pac-12 is trying to show it is nationally relevant, so it's not a good look when the flagship school loses to a G-5 program in an epic collapse (18%, 62 Votes)

What is the best reason to cheer for TCU in the national championship game against Georgia?
- To give the CU opener against TCU even more juice. The Horned Frogs will be favored in the opener regardless, so the Buffs may as well be playing against the defending national champions (40%, 128 Votes)
- To let other schools (including CU) know that it can be done with an "outsider" team which doesn't have a two-deep loaded with four- and five-star players (and a first year coach!) (36%, 113 Votes)
- To put the SEC in its place. Georgia is looking for back-to-back titles, and a non SEC/Big Ten champion needs to be crowned. I'd love to see Paul Finebaum try to explain away a Georgia loss to TCU (24%, 76 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
