Which of the following quotes from CU offensive coordinator Brennan Marion do you like the best?
  • “Every team I’ve gone to had a losing record the year before and then we have a winning record. That’s based off getting the players to come together and be family" (48%, 49 Votes)
  • “There are a lot of home-run hitters on the team, just have to make sure they’re playing intelligent, playing fast, playing tough. We’re building that right now through the weight room" (36%, 37 Votes)
  • “I tell guys all the time and coach had a message the other day: As soon as you can let go of who you used to be and used to be at, the faster we can come together as a team" (16%, 17 Votes)

Should this be the last season for Tad Boyle as CU's head basketball coach?
  • There is actually a nice nucleus of freshmen talent on this team. In the old days, when players actually stayed with one school, I would be willing to ride this out - but we know that won't happen (50%, 68 Votes)
  • Be careful what you ask for. Who do you think CU could bring in who is better? Tad or someone else, it's going to take money to improve. Put your money where your mouth is, and we'll get a new coach (31%, 42 Votes)
  • Yes. You can't be "an embarrassment to the University of Colorado" (his words) and stay on as basketball coach. Tad had a good ride, but it's over. Time to move on (19%, 27 Votes)

Coach Prime made the rounds during Super Bowl week, mostly without wearing any CU gear. Thoughts?
  • Not relevant. Coach Prime knows that he has to win this season, or be forever labeled as a losing coach. I'll wait until November before passing judgment on how Coach Prime handled his offseason (57%, 89 Votes)
  • Who cares? You think anyone watching Super Bowl pregame coverage doesn't know who Coach Prime works for? It's like asking Santa Claus to wear a name badge. Find something else to complain about (34%, 54 Votes)
  • CU needs all of the positive publicity it can get, and needs recruits to be excited about CU, but its head coach can't be bothered to be associated with the University and his team? Not a good look (9%, 14 Votes)

Report: Athletes at Nebraska are among those the College Sports Commission are investigating for NIL violations. Thoughts?
  • I'm just hoping this is a sign that the CSC will actually do something about NIL abuse, so that schools like CU can be within shouting distance of being competitive in the NIL market (56%, 60 Votes)
  • Means nothing. You think the College Sports Commission is going to make any finding which will actually penalize Nebraska in any meaningful way? If you do, I have some land in Omaha to sell you (31%, 34 Votes)
  • Love it! In in for any negative Bugeater story. How about another story about Matt Rhule's losing streak against ranked teams? Or NU's lack of a conference title in the 21st century?' (13%, 14 Votes)

Thoughts on college football expanding to have "Week Zero" be a regular feature
  • No opinion either way. I'm more interested in not seeing the season drag on well past New Year's Day. If starting games earlier in the fall would help end the season earlier, I'd be okay with it (63%, 73 Votes)
  • I like it. Two weeks of college football before the NFL starts; give teams two bye weeks to get healthy. Happy to get the season started earlier (25%, 29 Votes)
  • Not a big fan. If you have sat in the stands at Folsom on a 90-degree afternoon, you are not interested in having games start earlier in the fall. Labor Day weekend should be the start of the season (12%, 13 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
