Which of the following former Big Eight teams is most likely to have a winning record in the Big 12 this fall?
- Kansas State. Colin Klein returns to his alma mater, and takes over a Wildcat team which finished 6-6 last season. It won't take much of a push to get K-State to a winning record this fall (48%, 36 Votes)
- Kansas. The only one of the four to have its head coach returning, the Jayhawks are the most likely to take care of business, and get to six wins after two straight 5-7 campaigns (23%, 17 Votes)
- Oklahoma State. It sounds crazy, what with OSU going 1-11 the past two seasons, but North Texas coach Eric Morris brings with him a top QB and RB. OSU will rebound quickly (16%, 12 Votes)
- Iowa State. The Cyclones went 8-4 last season, the only team in the group to finish with a winning record. Head Coach Matt Campbell is gone, but the Cyclones could still be good (13%, 10 Votes)

Rate your level of interest in CU's Black and Gold Day, scheduled for April 11th at 1:00 p.m., MT
- Medium. It's a scrimmage, and CU won't want to show anything to Georgia Tech anything other than vanilla schemes. Still, it's football, and I'll need a fix by April (44%, 85 Votes)
- Low. If it's anything like the first three Spring games under Coach Prime, it will be disorganized, boring, and reveal nothing. I'd prefer to watch the Masters that day, thank you very much (42%, 80 Votes)
- High. A brand new offense and 11 new starters on defense? Very excited to see what the new Buffs will look like (14%, 27 Votes)

NCAA denies request from CU and Syracuse to play a Spring Game. Thoughts?
- Love the NCAA. They said last year that the application was filed too late - so CU and Syracuse apply earlier - and the answer is still no. No wonder college football is such a mess (56%, 57 Votes)
- I guess the rationale - that the NCAA is working on changing the entire football calendar, and don't want to make changes piecemeal. Hopefully, CU's application will help force the NCAA into changes (25%, 26 Votes)
- It's a long off-season, but every time I hear stories like this, I wonder if Coach Prime is spending too much time on non-CU related issues. Winning games should be Job One (19%, 19 Votes)

In rating Power Four schools and their chances at a bounce back season (and a bowl game), CBS Sports rates CU as "Not Optimistic". Thoughts?
- I don't mind CU being talked down so much as I can't understand why Oklahoma State (more transfers than CU in 2023) and West Virginia (49 freshmen - 49!) are given much better chances at success (51%, 60 Votes)
- Probably fair, if we're being honest. With eleven games against Power Four schools, with six on the road, it's hard to see CU doubling its win total from last season (43%, 51 Votes)
- Another example of shallow reporting. The reporter cites a tough schedule, and a high roster turnover, as the rationalization for the grade. Very little homework being done here (6%, 7 Votes)

CU to open the 2026 season against Georgia Tech on Thursday night. Thoughts?
- A good thing. Yet another nationally televised game in the Coach Prime era. The Buffs need to start taking advantage of all of this national exposure (70%, 79 Votes)
- This actually hurts the Buffs. Georgia Tech's next game after CU is Tennessee. With extra time to focus on the Volunteers, the Yellow Jackets will be that much more prepared for CU (16%, 18 Votes)
- Not that Georgia Tech would be looking past CU, but this will just make it a more hostile environment - with fewer CU fans able to attend a midweek game (14%, 16 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
