Buffs take down Rams in Ft. Collins, 67-62. Up next: No. 6 Kansas ...
- The win on the road, with freshman playing well in hostile territory after ealry foul trouble for starters, bodes well for Saturday (54%, 127 Votes)
- Buffs continue to struggle on the perimeter, both in making and defending three-pointers. I am not optimistic about the Kansas game (41%, 97 Votes)
- I don't care about basketball until conference play begins (5%, 11 Votes)

USC hires Washington coach Steve Sarkisian ...
- Makes no difference to the Buffs. CU is years away from competing with USC, regardless of the coach (77%, 168 Votes)
- Good news for the Buffs. Sark never finished higher than third in the Pac-12 North (16%, 35 Votes)
- Bad news for the Buffs. Washington beat up on CU under Sark - and now he'll have even more talent on his sideline (7%, 14 Votes)

My first best guess for CU's record in 2014 ...
- 6-6. Mac & Co. find a way to sneak into a bowl game in Year Two (53%, 153 Votes)
- 5-7. Still not a bowl team, but at least more competitive in conference games (26%, 75 Votes)
- 4-8 or worse. The schedule is about the same, and the rest of the Pac-12 is improving as well (12%, 34 Votes)
- 7-5 or better. In Mac We Trust!! (9%, 29 Votes)

My grade for the CU effort against Utah
- C ... Glad it wasn't a blowout, but frustrating nonetheless (47%, 117 Votes)
- B ... Buffs fought back from an early deficit; won last 40 minutes 17-3 (28%, 70 Votes)
- D ... Turnovers and poor play calling doomed the Buffs (20%, 50 Votes)
- F ... Utah was on a six-game losing streak - and the Buffs made them look like world-beaters (5%, 12 Votes)

If I were to talk with Paul Richardson, I would advise him to ...
- Stick around for 2014. Already a captain, he has lived through adversity, and is all about team. In 2014, he could cement his status as the best Buffs receiver ever. (61%, 143 Votes)
- Declare for the NFL draft. This is a no-brainer. He has shown what he can do, and it's time for him to take it to the next level (39%, 90 Votes)

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.
SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.
The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
